Sally Cheung, 20, daughter of Hok Ming and Kok Ying Cheung of Glen Burnie, was recently appointed president of the Salisbury State University chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.

She is a 1988 graduate of Glen Burnie High School, where she ranked in the top 5 percent of her class. She is currently a senior majoring in communication arts.

IABC is a professional organization for students of all majors interested in public relations and organizational communication. It sponsors speakers who have gained success through effective communication and allows students professional exposure through the externship program.

Cheung is serving as historian for Sophanes, the University's student theater club, and works to develop map orders for non-tidal wetlands in the Image Processing Center at Salisbury State.
