A county police probe discovered no evidence to substantiate a brutality complaint filed by an Odenton prison guard supervisor.

A statement released yesterday said Sgt. Tony Brent Lorick, a prison guard supervisor at the Maryland House of Correction in Jessup, fabricated and exaggerated claims of brutality in an early morning raid of his Greyswood Road home.

"Overall, there is no evidence to suggest that the officers were disrespectful to members of Mr. Lorick's family. Nor is there evidence of intentional physical abuse," the report said.

Lorick claimed that his shoulder was dislocated by officers in the raid and that he was forced to sit in his underwear in front of his family, with handcuffs tightly squeezed high on his wrists, for an hour and a half. He said the front door was left open.

The internal investigation revealed that Lorick's doctor did not treat him for a dislocated shoulderand cleared him for work the next day. It also said Lorick was allowed to put sweat pants on, the handcuffs were removed after 20 minutesand a storm door "did serve to minimize heat loss" while he was handcuffed.
