Northeast principal Joseph Carducci Jr. has agreed to meet with a small group of school supporters this afternoon to discuss their concerns over recent developments at the Pasadena institution.

Former athletic boosters president Roland Marsh confirmed yesterday that "fiveor six" committee members will meet with Carducci at 4 p.m. at Northeast.

Carducci, who replaced Joseph Cardamone Feb. 1, has been embroiled in controversy since announcing two weeks ago that he would advertise the positions of athletic director and assistant athletic directorafter the school year.

Bob Grimm has been athletic director for 15 years and will continue as a social studies teacher. Bart Rader assumed the new position of assistant athletic director last fall and will maintain his duties as football coach and English teacher.

"We hope to be able to iron a few things out and see if we can come to some kind of an understanding," Marsh said. "We're going into this witha favorable attitude and we hope to work some things out. And if not, we'll take it from that point on."

Linda Tetrault, another member of the committee, said, "I hope things can be worked out amicably between Dr. Carducci and Mr. Grimm, and Dr. Carducci and the faculty."

Marsh said committee members will attend Monday's school board meeting, even though they are not included on the agenda.

"We already have some buses lined up," he said. "We'll be there during the general part of the meeting. They have a time slot for the general public, and I hope we'll get recognized from the floor."
