2 people arrested in drug raid at house in East Baltimore

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Eastern District narcotics officers arrested two people and seized cocaine and heroin during a raid at a house in the 900 block of North Duncan Street last night.

After a series of complaints, the drug enforcement unit got a search and seizure warrant to raid at 9:30 p.m., after receiving a series of complaints. "We received constant complaints from the community about the house," Officer Ed Bochniak said.

Charlene Williams, 33, of 902 N. Duncan St. and Ronnie Arrington, 35, of the 2000 block of East North Avenue, were taken into custody. Both face arraignment today on drug and weapon charges.

Police seized an eighth of an ounce of raw cocaine with a street value of $600, 38 $10 bags of cocaine, two $10 bags of heroin and a .22-caliber gun.

Officer Bochniak said the house was down the block from where Officer Gerald Hensley was shot two months ago in another drug raid on Duncan Street. He added that police had been told another drug house had opened within days of that raid.
