ROBBERY: Central District -- Abdi Allen, of the 500 block of Bloom St., reported he was riding his bicycle in the 1400 block of W. Mount Royal Ave. around 8 p.m. Monday when he was accosted by two men, one of whom was holding a large dog on a leash. Police said that when the man with the dog threatened to loose it on Allen, Allen dropped his bike and fled. Police said the two men picked up the $100 bike and escaped.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Montague Hughes, 23, an employee at a parking lot in the 700 block of Eastern Ave., reported that after waiting on a motorist around 10 p.m. Monday, he was accosted by a man with a .22-caliber handgun who robbed him of about $100.

THEFT: Central District -- Stewart Clatterbaugh, 24, of the 100 block of E. Preston St., reported that while his car was parked near his home, someone got into the vehicle by breaking a window and stole clothing valued at $400.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Rosalyn Randolph, of the 2000 block of McCulloh St., reported that a man she knows as "Brian" struck her with his fists and robbed her of a small sum of money in the 1700 block of Division St. early yesterday.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Police reported that someone broke into Two Crazy Greeks Carryout and Restaurant in the 1300 block of N. Charles St. after the business closed due to a fire several days ago. It was not immediately known if anything was stolen.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Employees of Beachers, a bar in the first block of S. Eutaw St., reported that someone broke a front window with a bar stool, entered an office in the back of the building and stole more than $100.

RAPE: Central District -- An employee of an athletic club told police she was walking in the 1700 block of Eutaw Place around 8 p.m. Monday when she was grabbed from behind by a man who placed a hard object in her back and forced her to accompany him into an area between two houses in the 1700 block of Morris St. There, the man forced the woman to partially disrobe and raped her. He escaped on foot. Police said the woman ran home and reported the incident. Police said the woman refused to be taken to a hospital for medical treatment, saying she would seek treatment from her own doctor.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 3600 block of Ravenwood Road reported that two people who rent rooms from her entered her apartment and stole $500. Police said the victim was expected to have the people taken to court to answer theft charges.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Nancy Ainscow, a resident of Rockville, reported that while her car was parked in the 3600 block of Kimble Road, someone broke into it by forcing a rear door and stole property valued at more than $4,100, including computer equipment and clothing.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Employees of Anderson Electric, in the first block of Nashua Court in Essex, reported that someone entered a job site in the 1500 block of Gorsuch Ave. and stole tools valued at $400.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Alexander Bullock, of the 3700 block of Loch Raven Blvd., reported that someone broke into his car while it was parked near his home and stole a wallet and an AM-FM stereo radio, both valued at $200.

BURGLARY/ARRESTS: Northeastern District -- Police arrested two teen-age boys and released them in the custody of their parents after charging them as juveniles with breaking into a dwelling yesterday evening in the 3300 block of Ravenwood Ave. Police said the youths stole property valued at more than $70.

SHOOTINGS: Northeastern District -- Police said two men were shot Monday night during an argument in the 1100 block of E. Cold Spring Lane. Police said James Jefferson, 19, of the 700 block of Beaverbrook Road, and John Greenridge, 22, of the 6800 block of Eastridge Road in Woodlawn, were accosted by several men around 10 p.m. They said an argument broke out and at least one of the men in the group pulled out a gun and shot Jefferson in the buttocks and Greenridge in the face. Police said the group of men fled and the two victims were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where both were admitted in fair condition. Police said Jefferson and Greenridge refused to provide information about the men or the argument.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Jill Weinstein, of the 1400 block of Cedarcroft Road, reported that while her car was parked near her home, someone broke into it and stole property valued at $500.

ARSON: Northeastern District -- Tamara Carter, 26, of the 3900 block of Southclare Road, reported she was at home late Monday night when she smelled smoke. Police said that when Carter went to her kitchen, she saw smoke and flames coming from a window and called the Fire Department. They said the fire was quickly extinguished and that it appeared someone had reached through the window and set the curtains on fire. Police said the damage was confined to the window area. They said no arrest had been made and the incident remains under investigation.

SHOOTING: Northeastern District -- Police reported that Robert Goodman, 21, of the 5400 block of Sarril Road, was shot outside his home late Monday night. Police said Goodman was taken to the Francis Scott Key Medical Center, where he was admitted and was in good condition today. The arrested Alphonso Jones, 25, of the 4800 block of Greencrest Road, and Joseph Exum, 27, of the 5400 block of Todd Ave., and charged them with the shooting. Police said Jones and Exum were being held at the Eastern District pending a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police responding to the K mart store in the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane yesterday arrested a 30 year-old man accused of trying to leave the store without paying for merchandise valued at nearly $30. Police said Christian Ibewuike, of the 5600 block of Frankford Ave., was charged with theft and was held overnight at the Eastern District lockup pending a bail hearing.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2300 block of Edwing Court reported that someone broke into her apartment by opening a rear sliding glass door and stole a VCR and a computer game, all valued at nearly $900.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Employees of the Black & Decker store in the 4700 block of Erdman Ave. said someone entered the store yesterday and stole merchandise valued at more than $50.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 4900 block of Greenspring Ave. reported that someone broke into his home by forcing the front door and stole a VCR and a cordless telephone, all valued at more than $400.

ASSAULT: Northern District -- Royal Law, of the 1000 block of Cameron Ave., reported he was walking near his home early yesterday when he was attacked by a man who struck him with a baseball bat and fled. Law was taken to a hospital, where he was treated for a possible broken arm.

THEFT: Northern District -- David Wiggins, of the 5500 block of Ivanhoe Ave., reported that someone entered his home between Sunday and yesterday and stole a camcorder and other property with a total value of nearly $1,200.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of London, England, reported that someone broke into her room at the Village of Cross Keys in the 5100 block of Falls Road by forcing a door and stole $100.

THEFT: Northern District -- Charles Christiansen, of the 2800 block of Guilford Ave., told police his car was parked in the 300 block of Ilchester Ave. when someone broke into it and stole a compact disc player and other property, all valued at more than $600.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Johanna Owen, of the 100 block of W. 28th St., reported she was about to enter her home yesterday when a man with a handgun approached her from behind and forced her inside. There, the man robbed Owen of an electronic keyboard, watches and a camera, all valued at nearly $400.

THEFT: Northern District -- Christopher Jensen, of the 2800 block of N. Howard St., reported that someone entered the back yard of his home between Monday and yesterday and stole two pink flamingo lawn ornaments of unknown value.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Robert Byrd, of the 800 block of Chauncey Ave., reported he was in the 1100 block of Hendlers Lane when he was accosted by two men, one with a handgun, who robbed him of $59 and a pager.

ROBBERY: Western District -- James Alston, of the 1300 block of Hollins St., told police he was robbed of $200 by two men who attacked him in the 600 block of Gold St. Alston told police he was walking down the street when two men in their early 20s grabbed him and removed the money from his pockets, then escaped on foot.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 1900 block of Riggs Ave. reported that someone broke into her home early yesterday by forcing a door and stole property valued at nearly $1,100.

THEFT: Western District -- Emma Sanders, of the 2100 block of Vine St., reported that someone entered her home yesterday and stole a gold necklace, jacket and a pair of tennis shoes. Police said the property was valued at more than $400 and that an acquaintance of Sanders is suspected of taking the property.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police responding to a burglary at the A&P; warehouse in the 200 block of N. Franklintown Road Monday night entered the building and arrested a man believed to have been attempting to steal tools. Police said he was held overnight at the station lockup pending burglary charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Southwestern District -- Emma Jones, 58, of the 1900 block of N. Forest Park Ave., reported that a man cut her on the left leg with a knife at her home around noon yesterday. Police said Jones was taken to a hospital for treatment and released. Later, police arrested a man in the assault and were holding him at the station pending charges.

ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- Police arrested a teen-age male and charged him as an juvenile with assaulting another boy with a hammer yesterday evening in the 500 block of N. Loudon Ave. Police said the victim, a resident of the 500 block of N. Loudon Ave., was not seriously injured.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Essex District -- Police said a man with a long-barreled revolver entered the McDonald's restaurant at the Middlesex Shopping Center in the 1200 block of Eastern Blvd. shortly after midnight and forced an employee to give him the contents of at least one cash register. Police said that before the gunman fled out the front door, he forced a number of employees into the stand-up freezer. After several minutes, the employees left the freezer and reported the robbery.

Anne Arundel

ROBBERY: Hanover -- Police reported that two young boys were riding their bikes along the 900 block of Timber Ridge Drive when a Chevrolet Blazer occupied by three males in their late teens stopped. Police said the men forced one of the youths off his minibike and attempted to rob the other boy of his moped. Police said the two youths fled as the older males loaded the minibike into the vehicle, leaving the moped behind. Police said neither child was injured and that the value of the minibike was not immediately known.
