LINTHICUM APPOINTED

Gov. William Donald Schaefer has appointed Verena Voll Linthicum of Linthicum Heights to a six-year term on the Anne Arundel Community College Board of Trustees, effective July 1. She replaces Irene E. Newhouse of Linthicum, who retired after 12 years of service.

Linthicum has long been active in civic and community affairs and serves as docent for the governor's mansion in Annapolis. She also is a member of the Governor's Judicial Nominating Commission, is a membership chairman for the Anne Arundel County Historical Society and serves as a White House volunteer. She also has leadership experience experience at the local, district and state levels for womens clubs.

She is past board member of the American Cancer Society, the Performing Arts Association of Linthicum and the Baltimore Area Transit Association.

Manager of Linthicum Apartments since 1982, Linthcium's

has also had experience as a teacher. A South Dakota native and graduate of St. John's Lutheran Junior College in Kansas, she also attended Concordia Teachers College in Seward, Neb.
