The Jewish National Fund, Maryland Region, will award Louis L. Goldstein, comptroller of the Treasury for Maryland, the Tree of Life Award at a dinner at 6 tonight at the Annapolis Ramada.

A reception will precede the 7 p.m. dinner. Bruce C. Bereano, Bob DeStefano, Anna E. Greenberg and Arthur L. Silber are co-chairmen for the event.

B&A; Trail Park Superintendent Dave Dionne of Severna Park will provide a walking history tour of

the linear park the first Wednesday of every month at 9 a.m.

Participants are asked to meet in front of the Severna Park YMCA, corner of Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard and Cypress Creek Road.

Dionne's tour is free to area residents and is part of the B&A; Trail Walking Program. The walking program, called the "B&A; Trail Strollers and Social Club," runs from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday and is targeted to seniors and moms with strollers.

North Arundel Hospital has named Cheryl Marie Minnehan as nurse manager of its sixth-floor Patient Care Unit.

Minnehan's responsibilities as nurse manager includes scheduling staff of the 26 private-bed unit as well as 24-hour management. The hospital's sixth floor offers only private rooms and is the only private room unit in the hospital.

Previously, Minnehan was the director of nursing for CCU at the National Hospital for Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation in Arlington, Va.

Attending graduate school at the University of Maryland in College Park, the Severna Park resident holds a bachelor's degree in health.
