This is a weekly summary of selected prime contracts recently awarded by the federal government to companies and other vendors in Maryland.

Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Linthicum won a $27,561,005 contract from the Air Force to provide upgrade of radar for F-16's.

International Business Machines Corp. in Gaithersburg won an $11,892,916 contract from the Air Force to provide an equitable adjustment regarding the Worldwide Military Command and Control Information System program.

The Gassman Corp. in Silver Spring won a $7,027,000 contract from Goddard Space Flight Center to provide construction of quality assurance detector development laboratory.

EAI Corp. in Abingdon won a $4,974,993 contract from the Army for chemical weapons treaty support.

University of Maryland at Baltimore won a $4,112,177 contract from the National Library of Medicine to provide a national network of libraries of medicine.

Arinc Research Corp. in Annapolis won a $1,372,544 contract from the Air Force to provide engineering services.

The Driggs Corp. in Capitol Heights won a $1,247,000 contract from the WPP for road construction.

Integral Systems in Lanham won a $1,008,483 contract to provide defense meteorological satellite program independent verification and validation of flight software.

ORI/Calculon in Rockville won a $992,970 contract from the Army to provide system engineering and technical support.

Booz-Allen & Hamilton in Bethesda won a $723,222 contract from the Navy to provide engineering, technical and analytical support services.

Viereck Co. in Columbia won a $594,084 contract from the Air Force to provide grinding machines.

Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Linthicum won a $440,000 contract from the Air Force to provide engineering services.

New Horizons Diagnostics Corp. in Columbia won a $394,940 contract from the Army to provide new bio-chemical detection systems.

OMNI Contractors Inc. in Bethesda won a $285,110 contract to provide national foreign affairs training centers.

Maryland Technology Corp. in Ellicott City won a $174,962 contract from the Air Force to provide object-oriented signal processing.

Ecos USA Inc. in Bethesda won a $173,500 contract from the Transcentury Corp. to provide laboratory equipment.

CamCo Construction Co. in Laurel won a $171,500 contract from the Navy to provide repairs and construct addition to Building 702.

Bronka Construction Co. in Hagerstown won a $133,000 contract from the Army to provide construction of a restroom at Building 33 at Letterkenny Army Depot.

Hekimian Laboratories Inc. in Gaithersburg won a $126,630 contract from the Air Force to provide instruments and laboratory equipment.

Motorola Inc. in Landover won a $100,294 contract from the Navy to provide communications equipment maintenance.
