ROBBERY: Central District -- Derrick Rambert, of the 1000 block of E. Chase St., reported he was walking in the 200 block of E. Chase St. early yesterday when he was attacked by two men who had just gotten out of a car. Rambert told police the men knocked him to the pavement and robbed him of jewelry valued at $800 before getting back into the car and driving off.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Joseph Molider, of the 300 block of W. Madison St., reported he was struck in the face in the 700 block of Linden Ave. about 1 a.m. yesterday by a man who robbed him of his wallet containing more than $50.

THEFT: Central District -- Police today were seeking a man who stole property valued at more than $2,000 from two residents of a house in the 700 block of W. Monument St. The victims, Jerome Lawson and Sean Wilson, told police that after a man they invited to their home left yesterday, they discovered the property was missing. Police said a .32-caliber Derringer handgun, valued at $100, was taken from Lawson's room and Wilson reported a watch and jewelry, all valued at $1,400, were stolen from his apartment.

THEFT: Central District -- Chen Shan Yi, an out-of-town resident, reported that while his car was parked in the 1700 block of W. Mulberry St. yesterday, someone broke a window and stole property valued at more than $300.

THEFT: Central District -- Lonnie Miller, of the 5400 block of Reisterstown Road, reported that someone entered a storage room at Mercy Medical Center in the 300 block of St. Paul Place and stole ladders, ropes and other pieces of window-cleaning equipment that belonged to him and were valued at more than $4,000.

THEFT: Central District -- Employees of Roofers Inc. in the 300 block of W. 23rd St. reported that someone entered the building Wednesday and stole a power saw valued at more than $400.

THEFT: Central District -- Howard Oden reported that while his truck was parked in the 1300 block of N. Hunter St., someone broke into it by forcing a rear window and stole property valued at nearly $150.

THEFT: Central District -- Marga Caughorne, of the 1000 block of Cameron Road, reported her car was parked in the 700 block of W. North Ave. yesterday when someone broke into it and stole a briefcase and a purse valued at nearly $120.

BURGLARY: Central District -- A resident of the 2400 block of Maryland Ave. reported that someone he knows broke into his home through the front door yesterday and stole a compact disc player and more than two dozen compact discs. Police said the property was valued at more than $1,600 and the victim was advised to seek a warrant for the suspect's arrest.

THEFT: Central District -- Catherine Riegel, of the 500 block of Cording Ave. in Govans, reported that an in--- AM-FM stereo radio valued at $500 was stolen from her car yesterday while it was parked in the 1700 block of Falls Road.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Police said someone broke into an apartment in the 2300 block of Eutaw Place and stole a sweeper, dishes and a charge card, with a total value of nearly $200.

THEFT: Central District -- Gerard McMann, of the first block of Edmondson Ridge Road, reported that while his truck was parked in the 1400 block of Jordan St., someone entered it and removed an electric circular saw valued at more than $100.

THEFT: Central District -- Brian Manninghunt, of the 500 block of St. Paul St., reported his car was broken into while it was parked near his home Wednesday and yesterday. Manninghunt told police the thief broke a window and stole a spare tire, cassette tapes and other property, all valued at $500.

BURGLARY: Central District -- A resident of the 800 block of Edmondson Ave. reported that someone broke into his home through a rear window and stole a 13-inch TV, a cassette player, a telephone and a VCR, all valued at nearly $1,500.

RAPE: Northeastern District -- Police were seeking two men in connection with the rape early yesterday of a 23-year-old woman after she flagged a Royal cab on Whitman Drive. Police said that after the woman got into the cab, in which another man was riding with the driver, she was driven to an isolated area near Lake Montebello where both men raped her. After the men drove away, a motorist saw the woman walking near the lake clad only in a blouse and called police. The victim was taken to Francis Scott Key Medical Center, where she was treated and released. At the hospital, the woman told police the cab's number was 2301 but officials of the cab company said they had no vehicle with that number. The victim does not live on Whitman Drive.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Employees of African Exports in the 2400 block of Sinclair Lane reported that someone entered the property by opening a gate and stole radios and a telephone, all valued at nearly $500.

ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police responding to the Super Super food market in the 4000 block of Erdman Ave. yesterday arrested a 33-year-old woman who attempted to leave the store without paying for hair conditioner valued at nearly $10. Police said the woman was held overnight at the Women's Detention Center at the Central District pending a bail review hearing.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Gwendolyn Grimes, of the 2700 block of The Alameda, reported that someone entered her home Wednesday night and stole two TVs, an AM-FM radio and stereo speakers, all valued at more than $800.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police said a 12-year-old resident of the 3100 block of Rosekemp Ave. was riding his bicycle in Herring Run Park off the 4000 block of Harford Road yesterday afternoon when he was accosted by three older males who forced him off the bike and stole it and his watch. Police said the property was valued at more than $200.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Sylvia Hill, of the 1000 block of Bennett Place, reported she was walking in the 1200 block of W. Lafayette Ave. when a man came up behind her and stole her purse, which contained cash and property valued at nearly $50. He was last seen running east on West Lanvale Street.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 2400 block of Madison Ave. reported that someone broke into his home through the front door and stole a 13-inch TV, a telephone answering machine and a phone, for a total loss of more than $400.

ROBBERY: Western District -- John Johnson, of the 2500 block of Lauretta Ave., told police she was in the 2200 block of Division St. early Wednesday when she was assaulted by a man with a handgun who robbed her of $10.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police reported that nearly $300 was stolen from a dwelling in the 600 block of N. Dukeland St. after someone broke in through a rear window.

ROBBERY: Western District -- James Lawson, of the 4300 block of Seminole Ave., reported he was in the 2500 block of W. Lafayette Ave. when two men robbed him of the propeller-topped beanie he was wearing and a bag containing clothing.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Dale Gross, of the 2200 block of McMechen St., reported he was robbed of more than $170 by two men, one with a handgun, who accosted him as he walked in the 1300 block of W. North Ave.

ARSON TRY: Northeastern District -- Jane Doyle, of the 3000 block of Parkside Drive, reported that someone attempted to set fire to the back of her house yesterday. Police said someone poured a flammable liquid under the rear deck but did not ignite it.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Barry Wolfsheimer, an employee at Al Packer Ford in the 5600 block of Belair Road, reported that someone entered his office and stole an envelope containing more than $700.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2000 block of Woodbourne Ave. reported that someone broke into her home through an unlocked front door and stole a VCR valued at nearly $500.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Agnes Webb, of the 4200 block of Mary Ave., told police someone entered the rear yard of her home yesterday and stole a wrought-iron bench valued at $300.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police said someone broke a pane of glass out of a basement window to enter a dwelling in the 4700 block of Shamrock Ave. and stole property including a suitcase containing clothing, all valued at more than $1,000.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Mary Spriggs, of the 2200 block of W. North Ave., reported she was in the 3100 block of W. North Ave. when she was assaulted from behind by a man who stole her purse containing cash and property valued at $400.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that Stephanie Davis, of the first block of S. Ellamont St., was in the 3200 block of Lohrs Lane when she was assaulted by a man who twisted her arm behind her back and stole her purse, which contained cash and property valued at nearly $200.

CUTTING: Southwestern District -- Dartanyan Thompson, of the 100 block of Palormo Ave., told police he was in a tavern in the first block of S. Caton Ave. when he was attacked by a woman who stabbed him with a knife. Police said the woman escaped and Thompson was treated at a hospital and released.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Nathaniel Rosell, of the 3900 block of Rokeby Road, told police he was in a tavern in the 4600 block of Edmondson Ave. and was about to pay his bill when TC man walked by and stole $40 he was about to give the bartender. Police said Rosell chased the man but was unable to catch him.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 2900 block of Mosher Court reported that someone broke into her apartment by forcing the front door and stole more than $500.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Linda Dow, of the 300 block of S. Smallwood St., reported she was walking in the 2100 block of McHenry St. when a man approaching from the opposite direction bumped into her and stole her purse, which contained cash and property valued at $400.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police reported a man walked up behind Elizabeth Pilgman, of the 4700 block of Amberley Ave., as she walked in the 4700 block of Frederick Ave. and stole her purse containing cash and property, all worth $30.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- Dorothy McAllister, of the 2800 block of Spellman Road, reported she was at home when a man broke into her house through the back door and robbed her of nearly $200.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Essex District -- Police said a man with a handgun entered the Wendy's restaurant in the 100 block of Beacon Road, Middle River, shortly before 1 a.m. today and forced an employee to give up the contents of a cash register. Police said no injuries were reported and that the gunman escaped with an undisclosed sum.

ARRESTS: Glen Burnie -- Police yesterday arrested two boys, 12 and 14, and charged them as juveniles with breaking into 14 cars on Classic Drive and Stewart Avenue on June 4 and stealing property valued at more than $300. Police said the investigation led to the recovery of a .25-caliber semiautomatic handgun that had been stolen from one of the vehicles. After being charged, the youths were released in the custody of their parents pending action by county juvenile authorities.
