Services will take place for Annapolis resident Charles John Phillips Sr. 1 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.

Mr. Phillips, 77, died of cardiac arrest June 1 in Annapolis.

A resident since 1951, he retired as an engineer for PennsylvaniaRailroad in 1976 after 35 years of service.

Mr. Phillips was a former member of Annapolis and Baltimore Moose lodges.

His wife, Rode Phillips, died in 1969.

He is survived by two sons, Raymond Phillips of Cape St. Clair and Theodore Phillips of Pasadena; three sisters, Lillian Oberdahoff of Catonsville, Ada Mae Hutchinson and Betty Jane Pilachowski, both of Baltimore; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
