Wilson rides 4 winners, has .211 percentage

Veteran Rick Wilson, the leading percentage jockey at Pimlico Race Course, booted in four winners yesterday.

Wilson won aboard Set To Fly ($15) in the third, Gerry Cooper ($4.60) in the fourth, Legal Boy ($12.60) in the sixth and Valleigh Bird ($24) in the eighth. His only loss came aboard Brilliant Stepper, fourth in the seventh race.

Wilson has won with 37 of 175 mounts (.211) at the 61-day-old Pimlico meeting and is tied for sixth in victories with apprentice Tim Peterson, who won two races yesterday.

Cloudy Winters, ridden by Gregg McCarron, withstood a determined rally from Prosper In Gold to capture the $18,500 feature.

NOTES: The Genuine Risk Stakes will be simulcast to Pimlico/Laurel from Belmont Park tomorrow, with Safely Kept a very heavy favorite in the 6-furlong race. There will be just 9 live races. . . . Dale Capuano saddled 1 winner yesterday, giving him a 29-27 lead over King Leatherbury in the trainer standings. . . . Maryland-based horses to win out-of-town stakes last weekend: Miss Josh in the Gamely Handicap at Hollywood Park; Devilish Touch in the Miss Woodford at Monmouth Park; and Near the Limit in the Sentinel Stakes at Philadelphia Park.
