$181,725 Turtle Dove Stakes will feature Yankee Co-Ed

THE BALTIMORE SUN

FORT WASHINGTON -- Tomorrow night's $181,725 Turtle Dove Stakes highlights the first of two weekends with rich races at Rosecroft Raceway.

Yankee Co-Ed is expected to be the favorite in the Turtle Dove, a pace for 3-year-old fillies. A winner in 11 of 17 career starts, the filly was made the 2-1 morning-line favorite for the Turtle Dove, which will be contested as the 10th of 12 races.

Yankee Co-Ed won the J.W. Miller Memorial Pace earlier this month and carries a perfect 1991 record (3-for-3) into the race.

Ten others, including Sunraycer, Sara Loren RD and So Stated, have been entered.

The Terrapin Stakes will highlight the June 8 program.
