Services for Martin J. Novitski, 25, of Glenwood, are set for 10 a.m. today at St. Louis Church in Clarksville.

A Christian wake took place last night at the Leroy M. and Russell C. Witzke Funeral Home in Columbia.

Mr. Novitski died Sunday at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident Sunday morning on Gorman Road, near Johns Hopkins Road.

Police say Mr. Novitski ran off the road.

Mr. Novitski was a student at Howard Community College, where he was studying business. He also worked as a waiter at Clyde's Restaurant in Columbia. While in high school, he was active with youth groups at St. Louis Church.

Survivors include Mr. Novitski's parents, Don and Celine Novitski; sisters, Alisa Loper of Finksburg, and Therese Sides of Laurel; brother, Mark J. Novitski of Ohio; and grandmother, Mary E. Darr of Ohio.

He was engaged to be married next May to Julie Nace of Clarksville.

CHARLES E. BEKOS SALESMAN, 27

Service will take place for Charles E. Bekos, 27, of Ellicott City, at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ Episcopal Church in White Fish Bay, Wis.

Mr. Bekos died Saturday at the University of MarylandShock Trauma Center from multiple injuries sustained May 17, when his car struck a tree as he was driving eastbound on Route 108 in Columbia.

Police say Mr. Bekos lost control of the car, crossed the center line and drove into the westbound lanes before striking a tree about 150 feet off the road, just east of Red Branch Road.

Mr. Bekos was cremated Monday and his ashes were flown to Wisconsin Tuesday.

He was a salesman for Illumex Co. in Raleigh-Durham, N.C. He was amusic and golf enthusiast.

Survivors include his parents, CharlesBekos of Madison, Wis., and Jane Hopper Bekos of Bayside, Wis.; brothers, Jeffrey Bekos of Princeton, N.J., and Bradford Bekos of Chicago, Ill.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the White Fish Bay Foundation Music Program or the Neuro-Trauma Unit of the University of Maryland Hospital.
