ARSON/ARREST: Southwestern District -- Police early today arrested an 11-year-old boy and charged him as a juvenile with setting fire to his house shortly after midnight. Police said two occupants of the house, reportedly the boy's parents, were injured and were taken to St. Agnes Hospital for treatment. An unidentified firefighter was injured and treated at the scene by the crew of a city Fire Department ambulance. Police said the fire was reported at 12:11 a.m. and declared under control in less than 30 minutes. Police said the youth allegedly started the fire following an argument with his parents. Police said the youth was to be remanded to a juvenile facility pending action by juvenile authorities.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Terri Jones, of the 6800 block of Sturbridge Drive, reported she was asleep around 1 a.m. yesterday when she was attacked by a man who had broken into her apartment through the bedroom window. Jones told police that when she was awakened by the man, he threatened to kill her with a knife. Jones said the man, who was nude, fled her apartment when she cried out. Police said that when officers arrived a few minutes later they found a knife outside Jones' apartment. Police said no property was missing from the apartment.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1300 block of Crofton Road reported that someone broke into his home yesterday through a kitchen window and stole a VCR valued at $300.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Employees of Broadway Services Inc. in the 900 block of E. 25th St. reported that someone broke into the building through a ground-level window and stole property valued at nearly $250.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Geneva Moyd, 56, of the 2700 block of the Alameda, reported she was walking in that block over the weekend when a man in his late teens or early 20s came up behind her and stole her purse containing cash and property valued at more than $50.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that property valued at $5,000 was stolen from a dwelling in the 3700 block of the Alameda after someone broke in. Police said the intruder made off with an air conditioner and several other items.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Sharon White, of the 6000 block of Amberwood Road, reported she was walking in the 6000 block of Moravia Road late Monday night when a man came up behind her and stole her purse containing cash and property valued at $12.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Lorraine Bond, of the 1600 block of N. Washington St., reported she was walking in the 2800 block of St. Lo Drive in Clifton Park early yesterday afternoon when she was attacked by a man who threw her to the ground and began cutting off her clothes with a knife. Bond told police she cried out and the man fled.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1500 block of E. 36th St. reported that someone broke into her outdoor storage shed by cutting a padlock and stole a gas-powered lawn edger valued at $75.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that property valued at more than $500 was stolen from a garage in the 1500 block of Windemere Ave. after someone broke in. Police said the thief stole a lawn mower, an edger and a gas-operated outdoor grill.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Lenard Corbett, of the 3700 block of Elmley Ave., reported that someone entered the back yard of his home yesterday and stole a gas-powered lawn mower and other lawn equipment, all valued at $800.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that a 13-year-old resident of the 6200 block of Brook Road was riding his $300 multispeed bike in the 4400 block of Belair Road yesterday afternoon when three older youths forced him off the bike and stole it.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- John Crist, of the 1200 block of W. 41st St., reported that while his car was parked in the 4500 block of Erdman Ave. someone broke into it and stole an envelope that contained $600.

THEFT/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police responded to the Rite-Aid pharmacy in the 3900 block of Erdman Ave. yesterday and arrested a 35-year-old man who attempted to leave the store without paying for several bottles of hand lotion valued at more than $60. Police said the man was stopped by a store security officer who detained him until police arrived. They said the man was being held at the Eastern District lockup pending charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 4500 block of Marx Ave. reported that someone broke into her home yesterday evening and stole a multispeed bike valued at more than $300. Police said two teen-age youths were being sought.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Stephanie Seegars, of the 800 block of N. Augusta Ave., reported she was in the 700 block of Wildwood Parkway early yesterday when a man struck her with a baseball bat and stole her purse containing cash and property valued at nearly $130.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Maywood Mason, of the 3200 block of Westwood Ave., reported he was walking in the 3200 block of W. North Ave. shortly after 4 p.m. yesterday when a man with a handgun robbed him of more than $50.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- James Fisher, of the 8200 block of Main St. in Laurel, reported that while his car was parked in the 3200 block of Washington Blvd. Monday afternoon, someone entered it through an unlocked door and stole a radio and a carrying bag, valued at more than $100.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that someone broke into an apartment in the 4600 block of Manordene Road Monday or yesterday by forcing the front door and stole a TV valued at nearly $400.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 2600 block of Georgetown Road reported that someone broke into his home yesterday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. and stole $2,000.

ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- Thomas Butler, of the 3000 block of Clifton Ave., reported he was in the 2900 block of Frederick Ave. late yesterday evening and involved in an argument with a woman he knows when she struck him with a piece of wood with nails sticking out of it. Police said the woman struck Butler several times before Butler fled and reported the incident to officers on duty at the police station. Police said the woman pursued Butler for more than a block before she fled when she saw him enter the station. Police said Butler refused medical attention and was advised to seek a warrant for the woman's arrest.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 1700 block of Edmondson Ave. reported that someone broke into her home Monday through a rear door and stole a TV valued at more than $200.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Sylvia White, of the 2300 block of McCulloh St., reported that a man struck her with a lead pipe at her home Monday evening. Police said White was taken to Maryland General Hospital and was listed today in stable condition. Police said the man was being sought.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Vincent Boyd, of the 1100 block of Mosher St., told police he was in the 1700 block of W. Baltimore St. late Monday evening when he was approached by a man who shot him in the right leg for no reason. Police said Boyd was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center and was listed today in good condition.

CHURCH BURGLARY: Western District -- Officials of the Davis Memorial Church in the 1400 block of W. Franklin St. reported that someone broke into the main building and stole a window air conditioner and a fan, all valued at more than $300.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police said property valued at more than $500 was taken from a dwelling in the 200 block of N. Bruce St. after someone forced open a window. Police said the intruder made off with two TVs and a fan.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police said someone entered a house in the 200 block of N. Carey St. Monday through a rear window and stole property valued at more than $1,000. Police said the thief took a TV, VCR and a microwave oven.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Police said Sean Williams, of the 1800 block of E. 31st St., was listed today in good condition at Bon Secours Hospital after being shot in the lower back early yesterday. Williams told police he was in the 100 block of N. Pulaski St. around 4 a.m. when he was shot for no apparent

reason by a man who ran away.

ROBBERY/SHOOTING: Western District -- Darryl Cooper, of the 100 block of N. Fulton Ave., told police he was in the 200 block of N. Fulton Ave. around 3 a.m. yesterday when he was stopped by a gunman who forced him to give up his jewelry and a beeper. Police said the man then shot Cooper in the right hip and fled. Police said Cooper was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he was listed today in good condition.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police reported that stereo equipment valued at nearly $1,600 was stolen from a dwelling in lTC the 1300 block of N. Calhoun St. after someone gained entry through a rear door.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 2300 block of Madison Ave. told police that someone broke into his home through a third-floor window and stole a VCR, computer game and a TV, all valued at more than $500.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 2100 block of Windsor Ave. reported that someone broke into his home yesterday and stole a VCR and an air conditioner, all valued at nearly $1,000.

Baltimore County

ESCAPE: Cub Hill -- State Police at the Golden Ring Barracks said two residents of the Charles H. Hickey Jr. School at Cub Hill escaped around 7:30 p.m. yesterday. Police said one youth was arrested a short time later near the school, but the second, charged with assault, remained at large today. Troopers from the barracks, county police and a State Police helicopter were involved in the search for the escapees.

ROBBERY: White Marsh District -- Police said a deliveryman for Domino's Pizza in the 1400 block of Martin Blvd. was returning to his car shortly after 10 p.m. yesterday after delivering a food order in the first block of Damien Court when he was stopped by two men who robbed him of $10.

Howard County

BURGLARY: Columbia -- Police reported that someone broke into a dwelling in the 10600 block of Rain Dream Hill, Wilde Lake, and stole several pieces of jewelry. Police said the value of the jewelry was not immediately known and that entry was gained by opening a rear sliding glass door.

BURGLARY: Columbia -- Computer equipment of unknown value was reported stolen from a dwelling in the 5700 block of Margrave Mews in the Long Reach area after someone pried open the front door.

BURGLARY: Elkridge -- The resident of a mobile home in the 6600 block of Washington Blvd. reported that someone broke in by forcing a door and stole electronic equipment and several pieces of jewelry.
