Walter E. Gross Maintenance man

Walter E. Gross, a former maintenance man for the Glenn L. Martin Co., died Thursday at Randol Mill Manor in Arlington, Texas. He was 88.

Mr. Gross, formerly of Kingsville, worked 30 years in Middle River for the aircraft manufacturer. He retired in 1966.

He was born in the Stemmers Run neighborhood, now known as Golden Ring, and spent most of his life there. He later lived in Kingsville for 18 years. He and his wife, the former Katherine D. Bauer, moved to Texas six years ago.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Edward J. Gross of Clyde, N.C.; a daughter, Dorothy M. Grim of Arlington, Texas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Park Springs Bible Church in Arlington.

The family suggested that contributions be made to the Park Springs Bible Church Missions, 3500 Poly Webb Road, Arlington, Texas, 76017.
