Recipient's comments: "I think it's really an honor, because I was nominated by my peers. I think that means more tome than being nominated by my supervisors because your peers work with you every day and see the good days and the bad days. It's an honor for me. A lot of positive things have happened as far as nursing goes. Having the award gives nursing a more positive image. There's been a lot of publicity in the hospital and in the press."
