THANKS FOR SUPPORT

THE BALTIMORE SUN

From: Frances R. Conaway

Carroll County Unit

American Cancer Society

On behalf of the Carroll County Unit of the American Cancer Society, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped make Daffodil Days '91 a tremendous success.

Through the generosity of many volunteers and the publicity of the news media, the Carroll County Unit netted over $21,460. The money from the sale of daffodils will be used for patient services, transportation for treatment, medical supplies, public education and research.

I would like to extend my special thanks to the volunteers from all areas of the county who generously donated many hours to this worthwhile project. My thanks to all who purchased the daffodils representing the symbol of hope for cancer patients.

With the continued support of the many volunteers, businesses, schools, churches, organizations and individuals of Carroll County, Daffodil Days will continue to be an important event in the fight against cancer.

From: Terri Meushaw

Please accept our sincere appreciation for the coverage your paper gave us on the International Festival.

Since it was our first attempt at anything like this, we needed all the help we could get.

JaneLippy did a great job in writing the article and she was pleasant towork with. Please express our thanks to her.

The festival was a very successful event and we are already planning one for '92.

Thanks again.
