Services for Emily S. Cooper, who farmed with her husband in Trappe for many years, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Newnam Funeral Home in Easton.

Mrs. Cooper died Friday at William Hill Health Care Center in Easton of respiratory failure and bilateral lower lobe pneumonia. She was 91.

Before becoming ill two months ago and moving to the nursing home, Mrs. Cooper lived with her daughter on Alms House Road in Trappe.

Mrs. Cooper was born in Trappe and attended Trappe School. She married Clinton W. Cooper, a Talbot County farmer, in 1917, and they ran a cattle and grain farm in Trappe. Mr. Cooper died in 1974.

Mrs. Cooper belonged to St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Trappe and to the White Marsh Homemakers Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Anna Lee Duvall of Trappe and Phyllis C. Bailey of Easton; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family suggested contributions to the Trappe Volunteer Fire Co., Trappe, Md. 21673 or to the Memorial Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 1846, Easton, Md. 21601.
