Christopher Scott Russin, a freshman at the Catonsville Community College, died Monday at Johns Hopkins Hospital of leukemia, which had been diagnosed at the end of January. He was 19 and lived in Westminster.

A mass of Christian burial for Mr. Russin will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg.

He was a 1990 graduate of South Carroll High School and was enrolled in an automobile technology program at the community college.

A native of Baltimore who was reared in Westminster, he had attended the Robert Moton Elementary School and the West Middle School.

His brother, Jeremy D. Russin, a high school lacrosse player named athlete of the week by The Evening Sun last week, promised to score a goal for Christopher in South Carroll High School's quarterfinal state championship game May 10 against Catonsville High School and went on to score five of his team's six goals for a one-goal victory.

In addition to his brother, also of Westminster, his survivors include his parents, Randall B. and Mary E. Russin, both of Westminster; a sister, Amy C. Russin of Westminster; his paternal grandparents, Wasco J. and Virginia C. Russin, both of Woodlawn; his maternal grandmother, Margaret C. Hurdel of Woodlawn; and a nephew, Brandon T. Berry of Westminster.
