BANK GIVES DIVIDEND

Thomas K. Ferguson, president and chief executive officer of CarrollCounty Bank and Trust Co., announced that the board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of 19 cents per share.

The dividend will be paid on June 15 to shareholders of record June 3. The bank has 1,517,781 shares issued and outstanding.

For the first quarter of 1991, the bank's net income amounted to $1.01 million, up 7.9 percent over the first quarter of 1990. Total assets grew 5.3 percent, to $436.3 million.

Total deposits are $356.8 million, a 5.2 percent increase over the March 31, 1990 balance of$339.3 million. Total net loans stand at $237.3 million, a decline of 5.5 percent.

Carroll County Bank and Trust, headquartered in Westminster, operates 12 offices in Carroll and one in Ellicott City, Howard County. The bank also owns and operates an insurance subsidiary,Carrollco Insurance Inc.

TOP WORKERS NAMED

WESTMINSTER -- Duke's Car Wash named Tom Fritz and Brian Grout as Employees of the Month ofApril for the daytime workers and evening and weekend crew, respectively.

Both received a cash prize and certificate.

Other top workers on the daytime crew were: Jessie Armiger, highest quality work; Frank Rucci, most dependable; Bill Dean, best attitude; Tina Ferguson, most improved worker; and Steve Robertson, demonstrating most initiative.

Weekend/evening crew winners were: Tammy Chapel, highest quality work; Jeff Eberly, most dependable; Rich Carver, best attitude;Greg Reese, most improved worker; and Chris Hann, demonstrating mostinitiative.

REALTOR HELPS CHARITY

WESTMINSTER -- The Century 21 International system is continuing to raise money for the National Easter Seal Society, most recently at Cranberry Mall's Business Fair.

Century 21 Charles J. Plunkert and Boy Scout Troop 381 accepted donations for Easter Seals at the fair. They also gave away an under-the-counter television at the Easter Seals Egg Hunt.

Century 21 Real Estate Corp. has been the top corporate sponsor of the Easter Seal Society for 13 consecutive years, raising in excess of $30 million during that time.

In the 1991 Easter Seal Campaign, the system raised $5.5 million, the largest single contribution by a corporate sponsor in the charity's history.
