4 saved after houseboat sinks

Four people were rescued from the Patapsco River last night after their houseboat sank, state Natural Resources Police said today.

Sgt. Morris Jones said the four were rescued shortly before 9 p.m. after distress flares were spotted

near Bodkin Point.

"All four were physically fine," Jones said.

"We don't know what caused the boat to sink but we are continuing to investigate the cause."
