* Marine Lance Cpl. Tammy S. Woehler, daughter of David W. and Sara V. Reed of Hampstead, recently reported for duty with Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

A 1982 graduate of North Carroll High School, she joined the Marine Corps inFebruary 1985.

* Navy Chief Petty Officer Carey D. Strawbridge, whose wife, Sonia, is the daughter of Anita L. Mobley of Sykesville, recently returned from deployment to the Middle East in support of Operation Desert Storm while serving aboard the guided missile cruiser, USS San Jacinto, homeported in Norfolk, Va.

Operation Desert Storm was the largest deployment of U.S. military forces since Vietnam. The operation wasin response to Iraq's invasion of Kuwait and threat to Saudi Arabia.

A 1981 graduate of Belair High School, Baton Rouge, La., Strawbridge joined the Navy in July 1981.
