Dr. James E. Vogel, a specialist in plastic and reconstructive surgery and hand surgery, has joined the medical staff at Carroll County General Hospital.

A graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, he completed his internship at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Vogel's fellowships include one in plastic surgery from Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, another in hand surgery from the Raymond M. Curtis Hand Center at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore and onein maxillofacial trauma/microvascular surgery from Maryland Shock Trauma. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery.

His special interests include facial cosmetic surgery, hair transplantation, cosmetic & reconstructive breast surgery, and hand surgery. His professional affiliations include membership in the John Staige Davis Society, a state society for plastic and reconstructive surgeons, and the Baltimore County Medical Society.
