A Mass of Christian burial for Marcel A. Monier, forecasting manager for Black & Decker Corp., will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the chapel of the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, 4701 N. Charles St.
Mr. Monier, who was 61, died Friday of cancer at his home on Thornton Road in Towson.
He started working for Black & Decker 37 years ago as an industrial engineer and worked at facilities in Towson, Hampstead and Hunt Valley.
A native of Woonsocket, R.I., he earned industrial engineering and management degrees at the University of Rhode Island and
at the Johns
Hopkins University.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, the former Jean Schramm; a daughter, Lisanne Monier-List of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; a son, Christopher Monier of Diamond Bar, Calif.; and a grandson.
The family suggested memorial contributions to the College of Notre Dame, of which he was a longtime friend, and where his wife serves as director of alumnae relations.
