The Salisbury State University American Marketing Association chapter won the prestigious second-tier "Chapter Excellence in Membership" award at the organization's International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans recently.

One of the chapter's officers is Kim Crall of Pasadena. The chapter has 99 members and set a recruitment record foruniversities of Salisbury's size. The chapter also impressed judges with its diversity of members and overall ranking of 38th in total membership among 390 chapters nationwide.

Crall attended the three-day conference, which included regional meetings, career and leadership sessions and a speech by the vice president of marketing for Nike Inc. The conference was attended by 83 schools.
