Gaithersburg woman found dead police suspect homicide

The death of 23-year-old woman, whose body was found yesterday at her Gaithersburg apartment, is being investigated as a homicide, Montgomery County police said.

According to police, Tonya D. Blake's body was discovered in her home by family members who had gone to check on her at her Bureau Drive apartment after she failed to show up for work. They found her body at 4:30 p.m. yesterday.

The victim's body was taken to the state medical examiner's office in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be performed.

Police are searching for the dead woman's missing car, a black Nissan Sentra with silver wheel rims.
