GLEN BURNIE TODDLER CROWNED 'BABY HOPE' AT ACS PAGEANT

Christina Marie Crawford of Glen Burnie was named Baby Hope USA 1991at the April 28 pageant sponsored by the American Cancer Society at White Marsh Mall.

Christina, 9 months old, was one of 10 in her age group vying for the title. This was her first pageant.

The daughter of Sarah and Timothy Crawford, she also was the award winner for the categories of Charisma, Beauty and Poise.

"When Christina was named for Charisma," said her mother, "I was so happy.

"And then she won in the Beauty and Poise categories. Then when shewas the overall winner, I knew just what it's like to win a pageant."

"We collected pledges for the American Cancer Society. They ran a wonderful pageant. They knew just what they were doing," her motheradded.

T. J., Christina's 4-year-old brother, attended a photo shoot yesterday at a modeling agency that spotted the two children during the April pageant.

The Crawfords say they plan to enter Christina in more competitions and pageants.
