SHOOTING/ARRESTS: Western District -- Police arrested a 20-year-old and a 14-year-old and were holding them at the station in connection with the shooting last night of James Chase, of the 2400 block of Druid Hill Ave. Police said that about 10 p.m. Chase was in the 2500 block of Druid Hill Ave., where he argued with two males. The pair then ran into a house and came out with a .22-caliber rifle. One of them shot Chase three times, police said. They said Chase was taken by ambulance to the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he was admitted in serious condition with bullet wounds to both legs and the left side. Police said Eric Deboise, 20, and Demond Chester, 14, both of the 2500 block of Druid Hill Ave., were charged with attempted murder and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Eric Ware, of the 5300 block of Sinclair Lane, reported he was about to enter the front door of his apartment building Monday night when he was accosted by a man armed with a handgun who demanded his money. Police said Ware complied, giving the gunman $50 in cash.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police said a 12-year-old boy reported that after parking his bike on the grounds of Hamilton Middle School in the 5600 block of Sefton Ave., an older boy stole the bike and rode off. Later, in the 600 block of Woodbourne Ave., police arrested a suspect and recovered the bike. Police said the youth who allegedly stole the bike was released in the custody of his parents pending action by juvenile authorities.
ROBBERY/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police arrested a 20-year-old woman and were looking for two men in connection with the armed robbery early yesterday of the 7-Eleven store in the 2900 block of Harford Road. Police said that after two men and a woman entered the store about 5 a.m., one of the men pulled out a handgun and ordered a clerk standing behind the counter to give him money from the cash register. After taking an undisclosed sum of cash, the trio fled out the front door. Later, police arrested a woman who fit the description of the female as she walked a few blocks from the robbery scene. Police said Vanessa Lyle, 20, of the 2700 block of Fenwick Ave., was charged with armed robbery and was held overnight at the Women's Detention Center pending a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1300 block of Crofton Road reported that someone broke into her home yesterday and stole a microwave oven. Police said the appliance was valued at $300 and that entry into the house was through a front basement window.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Lashawn Washington, of the 1900 block of E. 32nd St., told police that property valued at more than $800 was stolen from her home yesterday. Later, police arrested two 11-year-old boys and two 13-year-old boys in connection with the theft and released them in the custody of their parents.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police arrested a female and were holding her at the Women's Detention Center at the Central District pending charges that she stole property from the purse of an employee of the Greater Grace Church in the 6000 block of Moravia Park Drive. Police said the woman is suspected of entering an office at the church and taking items from the victim's purse while she was away from her desk.
ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the Pisces Q & Subs Carryout in the 5600 block of Bowleys Lane about 10 p.m. yesterday and ordered two employees to lie on the floor. Then the robbers opened the cash register and took an undisclosed sum of money. Police said the gunman and his accomplice warned the employees to stay on the floor, then fled.
ROBBERY: Central District -- Gloria Burgess, of the 1000 block of Bonaparte Ave., told police she was in the 500 block of Pennsylvania Ave. late Monday night when she was stopped by a man who pointed a rifle at her and demanded her money. Police said Burgess turned over more than $100 to the gunman, who escaped on foot.
THEFT: Central District -- Brent Wilson, an out-of-town resident, told police that while his vehicle was parked in the 200 block of E. Baltimore St. between Monday and yesterday someone broke into the vehicle and stole a 10-speed bike and a suit case. Police said the property was valued at nearly $300.
BURGLARY: Central District -- Police reported that someone forcibly entered an apartment in the 1500 block of Park Ave. Monday night and stole a compact disc player and two jars containing coins. Police said the property was valued at $300 and that entry was gained through a back door.
THEFT: Central District -- Dwayne Harris, of the 500 block of Roundview Road, reported that his car was parked in the 100 block of N. Holliday St. over the weekend when someone broke into the vehicle and removed an in--- radio. Police said the radio was valued at nearly $300 and that entry was gained by breaking a window.
ROBBERY: Central District -- Joseph Depaula, of the 700 block of E. Eager St., reported he was in the 100 block of W. Baltimore St. early yesterday when he was assaulted by two men, one armed with what appeared to be a box cutter. Depaula told police that the man carrying the cutter placed the weapon to his throat and demanded his money. Police said the men robbed Depaula of his jacket, food stamps and cash. Police said the two men escaped with cash and property, all valued at just over $100.
THEFT: Central District -- Officials of the Baltimore Arena in the 200 block of W. Baltimore St. reported that between 5 p.m. May 10 and 7 a.m. May 13, someone stole the three flags in front of the building. Police said someone cut the ropes supporting the flags and stole them after they fell to the ground. Police said the flags -- an American flag, the state flag and the city flag -- had a combined value of more than $1,000.
BURGLARY: Central District -- A resident of the 1600 block of Druid Hill Ave. reported that someone broke into her home Monday and stole a refrigerator, stove and carpeting. Police said the property was valued at $1,000.
THEFT: Central District -- William Carmichael, of the 100 block of E. Preston St., reported that someone broke into his car while the vehicle was parked in the 200 block of E. Biddle St. between Monday and yesterday and stole a circular saw and cassette tapes. Police said the property was valued at nearly $300 and that entry was gained by breaking a side window.
BURGLARY: Central District -- Police reported that property valued at more than $500 was stolen from a dwelling in the 1400 block of McCulloh St. after someone gained entry through a rear door. Police said the break-in occurred yesterday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
ASSAULT: Western District -- Marsha Carroll, of the 500 block of Sanford Place, reported that during an incident at her home, she was stabbed in the hand by a man she knows. Police said the man was arrested and that Carroll was treated at Liberty Medical Center and released.
ASSAULT: Western District -- Gerald Davis, of the 1100 block of N. Stockton St., told police he was walking in the 1300 block of Riggs Ave. late Monday night when he was attacked by a man who struck him over the head with a baseball bat. Police said the man escaped and that Davis was treated at Bon Secours Hospital for injuries and released. Davis told police he knew of no reason why the man attacked him.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Patricia Satchell, of the 1600 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway, reported that she was in the 2100 block of Reisterstown Road when she was attacked by a man who struck her in the face with a cane and then robbed her of cash and property, all valued at more than $1,000. Police said a resident of the 2300 block of Whittier Ave. was being sought in connection with the robbery.
BURGLARY: Western District -- City housing officials reported to police that someone broke into a city-owned dwelling in the 1300 block of N. Fremont Ave. yesterday and stole several pieces of copper tubing.
ROBBERY: Southern District -- Jack Healy, of the 100 block of S. Poppleton St., reported that he was in the 800 block of W. Lombard St. about 7 a.m. yesterday when he was assaulted by 3/8 3/8 TC man armed with a knife who cut him and then robbed him of $24 in cash and his watch. Police said Healy was not seriously injured.
ASSAULT: Southern District -- Allen Smallwood, of the 400 block of S. Furrow St., reported that he was attacked by a man Monday evening while walking in the 1800 block of W. Pratt St. Smallwood told police the man attacked him for no apparent reason and struck him with a piece of wood. Police said Smallwood refused medical treatment.
BURGLARY: Southern District -- Employees of an Amoco station in the 2900 block of Waterview Ave. told police that someone entered the station office through an unlocked door and stole an undisclosed sum of cash.

ROBBERY: Parkville District -- Employees of Crusty's Pizza in the 8300 block of Harford Road reported they were robbed by four men armed with handguns shortly before 11 p.m. yesterday. Police said the men entered the carryout about 10:49 p.m. and ordered at least two employees to the floor. Police said one of the gunmen opened the cash register and took an undisclosed sum of money before the four escaped on foot.
ROBBERY: Garrison District -- Police reported that a man wearing a stocking over his face and armed with a handgun entered the 7-Eleven store in the first block of Greenwood Place and ordered the clerk to give him the contents of the cash register. Police said the clerk complied, giving the gunman less than $100.

SEX ARRESTS: Glen Burnie -- Undercover police responding to reports of men engaged in sex acts at Friendship Park arrested four men over the weekend and charged three with trespassing and the fourth with a fourth-degree sex offense. Charged with trespassing were Gary Alan Fisher, 51, of Eatontown, N.J.; Harry Leroy Kellogg, 50, of Glen Burnie, and Terry Jon Ryder, 30, whose Baltimore address was not immediately available. Charged with committing a sex offense was Donald Thomas Clark, 40, of Glen Burnie. Police said the park often is used as a meeting place by men soliciting other men for sex and that police watching the park since April have arrested at least a dozen men on various charges.
DRUG ARRESTS: Pasadena -- After receiving information about drugs inside a car being driven along Wanda Road, police over the weekend stopped the vehicle near Wanda and Bay roads and found 2 ounces of liquid PCP with a street value of $700. Police said Nancy Jane Knight, 32, of the 9200 block of Fort Smallwood Road, and Vicky Lynn Baranovic, 33, of the 200 block of Wanda Road, were each charged with possession of PCP with intent to distribute.
BURGLARY: Glen Burnie -- Police reported that property valued at more than $3,000 was stolen from a dwelling in the 1400 block of Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd. after someone gained entry through a window. Police said the burglar made off with several appliances and other household items.
BURGLARY: Glen Burnie -- A resident of the 1000 block of Langley Road reported that someone broke into his home by forcing a door and stole a console-model TV valued at $1,000.
