ASSAULT: Western District -- Christine Schrieber, of the 200 block of E. Preston St., reported she was in the 1700 block of Lorman St. yesterday when she was attacked by a man who stabbed her in the left side of the neck with a knife. Police said Schrieber was treated at a hospital and released.
ROBBERY: Central District -- Frank Harold, of the 2800 block of Mayfield Ave., told police he was in the 200 block of Pearl St. about 5 p.m. yesterday when he was accosted by two men, one with a silver-colored handgun, who knocked him to the ground and robbed him of nearly $25.
THEFT: Central District -- Scott Houghton, an out-of-town resident who performs for audiences at Harborplace, told police that while he was entertaining a crowd near the Light Street pavilion Sunday evening, someone stole the backpack that he had placed nearby. Houghton told police the backpack contained 500 $1 bills, money he earned while entertaining visitors to Harborplace.
ROBBERY: Central District -- James H. Lee, of the 2700 block of Guilford Ave., reported he was in the 1800 block of N. Charles St. shortly after 6 a.m. yesterday when he was assaulted by two men in their 20s who robbed him of $70 in cash.
THEFT: Central District -- Police reported that someone entered the maintenance office of the Furman L. Templeton Elementary School in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Ave. yesterday and stole a metal box containing several tools, a telephone and some cigarettes. Police said the property was valued at more than $700.
BURGLARY: Central District -- A resident of the 2400 block of N. Calvert St. reported that someone broke into his home through an unlocked kitchen door and stole more than $200 in cash. Police said the victim reported that the money was kept in a large cup inside a bedroom dresser drawer.
THEFT: Southern District -- Keri Benson, of the 5000 block of Frederick Road, reported that while her car was parked in the 100 block of Perry St. yesterday, someone broke into the vehicle after breaking a passenger side window and stole property valued at more than $700. Benson told police the thief stole a leather coat and a stereo equalizer.
ROBBERY: Southern District -- Anthony Smalls, of the 1500 block of N. Washington St., reported he was in the 900 block of W. Barre St. shortly after 2 a.m. today when he was attacked by a man armed with a stick. Police said that during the incident, Smalls dropped a $20 bill that was picked up by his assailant, who escaped on foot.
ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Employees of the EZ convenience store in the 5800 block of Hillen Road told police that two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the store bout noon yesterday and demanded money. Police said the gunman and his accomplice escaped with more than $100 in cash.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Richard Griffin, of the 4000 block of Echodale Ave., reported that someone stole four aluminum awnings outside his home. Police said the value of the awnings was not immediately known.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone entered the property of Erdman Auto Recycles in the 4700 block of Erdman Ave. by cutting a hole in a fence and stole the radiators and air-conditioning condensers from 17 junked cars. Police said the parts were valued at more than $3,000.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Tracee Harris, of the 6800 block of Sturbridge Drive, reported that a person she knows stole property valued at more than $200 when she was visiting her over the weekend. Police said Harris was advised to seek a warrant for the woman's arrest.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- James Libber, of the 7600 block of Ross Road in eastern Baltimore County, reported that while his car was parked in the 3700 block of Sinclair Lane yesterday, someone broke into the vehicle and stole property valued at $500. Police said entry was gained by breaking one of the vehicle's side windows.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Festus Anyiam, of the Wellesley House apartments in the 2300 block of Pentland Drive, reported that someone entered the balcony of his apartment and stole property valued at more than $100.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Officials of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in the 2800 block of Grindon Ave. reported that someone broke into the garage in the rear of the church and stole lawn-care equipment. Police said the property was valued at more than $400.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 4600 block of Chatford Ave. reported that someone broke into his home yesterday and stole property valued at nearly $400. Police said entry was gained through a rear door.
THEFT/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police yesterday arrested a woman who attempted to leave the Ames department store in the 2500 block of Belair Road without paying for clothing valued at nearly $40. Police said the woman was stopped by a store security officer who detained her until a police officer arrived. Police said the woman was held overnight at the Women's Detention Center pending formal charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Charles Jackson, of the 5200 block of Bowleys Lane, reported that while his 1972 Ford sedan was parked in the 5300 block of Bowleys Lane, someone broke into the vehicle and stole an in--- radio. Police said the radio was valued at more than $80 and that entry was gained by someone breaking one of the vehicle's side windows.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone broke into Corky's Liquors in the 5400 block of York Road yesterday and removed more than $100 from the cash register. Police said entry was gained through a rear door.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Employee of Blackstone's, a clothing store in the 3200 block of Greenmount Ave., reported that someone broke into the building early yesterday and stole clothing valued at more than $250. Police said entry was gained by breaking the front window.
ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police reported that two men entered BJ's Pub in the 3800 block of Falls Road just before closing time at 2 a.m. yesterday and forced the bar maid to open the cash register and give them the contents. Police said the bar maid complied, giving the men more than $100 in cash.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- The owner of Bud's baseball cards in the 800 block of W. 36th St. reported that someone broke into his shop and stole several cards from a display. Police said the cards were valued at nearly $1,500 and that entry into the store was by someone removing an air conditioner from a window, then climbing through the window.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone broke into the Oles Envelope Corp. in the 500 block of E. 25th St. over the weekend and stole a circular saw. Police said entry was gained through an unlocked door. Police said the saw was valued at several hundred dollars.
THEFT: Northern District -- Barbara Blair, of the 8200 block of Tally-Ho Road in the Lutherville-Timonium section of Baltimore County, reported that someone entered her office at the Grace Methodist Church in the 5400 block of N. Charles St. yesterday and stole her purse. Blair told police the purse contained cash and property, all valued at more than $200.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 3500 block of Cottage Ave. reported that someone broke into her home yesterday and stole a VCR and a TV. Police said the property was valued at nearly $1,500 and that entry was gained by forcing a lock on a rear door.
THEFT: Northern District -- Officials of St. Thomas Aquinas Church School in the 3700 block of Roland Ave. told police that someone entered the art department over the weekend during the annual May festival and stole a VCR. Police said the property was valued at more than $300.
THEFT: Northern District -- Teresa Wright, of the 1000 block of Upnor Road, reported that sometime over the weekend someone stole her VCR. Wright told police the property was valued at $400 and that she suspects a person she knows of taking the property.
BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 2400 block of Etting St. reported that someone broke into his home early yesterday and stole $200 in cash. Police said entry was gained through a window.
ROBBERY: Western District -- An employee of Mr. Softee in the 5400 block of Sinclair Lane reported he was parked in the 1900 block of Presbury St. late Sunday night when a man entered his truck and robbed him of more than $100 in cash.
ASSAULT: Western District -- Philip Campbell, of the 2300 block of Edgemont Ave., reported that during an incident in the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Ave. about 10 p.m. Sunday he was attacked by a man armed with a sharp weapon who cut him on the head. Police said Campbell was taken by ambulance to Bon Secours Hospital, where he was treated and released.
BURGLARY: Western District -- Police said someone broke into a dwelling in the 1900 block of Harlem Ave. and stole a TV. Police said the property was valued at more than $200.
RAPE: Western District -- Police today were seeking a resident of the 2500 block of Park Heights Terrace in connection with the rape yesterday morning of a woman during an incident at her home. Police said the victim, who knew her attacker, was treated at a hospital and released.
Baltimore County
ROBBERY: Essex District -- Police reported a man armed with a dark-colored handgun, possibly a .357 Magnum, entered the Crown gas station in the 9500 block of Pulaski Highway shortly before 2 a.m. today and ordered the attendant to give him money from the cash register. Police said after the gunman was VTC given an undisclosed sum of cash, he fled on foot toward Middle River Road.
ROBBERY: Cockeysville District -- Police today were seeking two men in their late teens or early 20s who robbed the Shell Food Market in the 11200 block of York Road late last night of an undisclosed sum of cash. Police said that when one man entered the store and ordered a sandwich, the other man walked in a short time later and stood by the door. Police said the first man then walked behind the counter and forced the employee to give him the contents of the cash register. After being given the money, both men escaped.

ASSAULT ON POLICE: Riva -- Police reported that two police officers were injured over the weekend while attempting to arrest a motorist who was seen driving erratically on Riva Road. Police said after Officers Roland Haag and Michael Birdsell pulled the driver over on the parking lot of Paul's Restaurant on Riva Road last Friday, the man became combative and struck the officers. Police said Haag was bitten and that after the man was taken into custody, both officers were taken to Anne Arundel General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and released. Police said the motorist, William Bailey Jr., 44, of the 1700 block of Governor Bridge Road in Davidsonville, was charged with multiple traffic offenses, two counts of assaulting police, driving while intoxicated, possession of cocaine and marijuana and resisting arrest.

DRUG ARREST: Eastern District -- Police arrested a 12-year-old boy and charged him as a delinquent with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Police said the sixth-grade student was carrying 23 vials of cocaine when police arrested him early Sunday evening in the 1900 block of E. Lanvale St. Police said the boy told the arresting officer he was holding the drug for an 18-year-old drug dealer who threatened him and forced him to hold on to the vials until they were needed. Police said they doubted the youth was intimidated into holding the cocaine because he had been seen frequenting the area for several days in the company of known drug dealers. Following charges, the youth was released to the custody of his mother pending action by juvenile authorities.
