Chesapeake Beach woman found slain

THE BALTIMORE SUN

State police are investigating the death of a Chesapeake Beach woman whose body was discovered by her daughter yesterday when she came home from school.

Linda Mae Pellicano, 38, was discovered lying in the hallway, bleeding from the chest, by her 16-year-old daughter when the girl returned to her home in the 3600 block of Dalrymple Road at 3:49 p.m. The girl called police from a neighbor's house, then locked herself in her bedroom until police arrived.

Police could not determine whether the woman had been shot or stabbed. Her body was taken to the state medical examiner's office in Baltimore for an autopsy.
