Hobart rallies to beat Nazareth in Division III semifinal, 19-17

GENEVA, N.Y. -- Jeff Tambroni scored a goal with 1 minute, 52 seconds left to break a 17-17 tie, as Hobart (7-6) defeated Nazareth (12-2), 19-17, in a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III semifinal yesterday.

Hobart, which rallied from a 16-13 deficit with 8:54 remaining, will play at Salisbury State in the championship game Saturday.

Tambroni (three goals, one assist) took a pass from Dave Pogoda and fired a 12-yard shot past goalkeeper Kevin Kaffl, who was playing in place of starter Greg Gebhardt. Gebhardt was ejected for unnecessary roughness with 2:14 to play.

L Bill Miller had three goals and four assists to lead Hobart.
