Summer workshop for educators


Loyola College has scheduled a summer workshop, "Self-Renewal Workshop for Educators." for teachers, school administrators and counselors June 15-16 and July 6-7, from 9 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. in Jenkins Hall.

Areas receiving special attention include stress reduction and burnout avoidance, dealing with difficult people, relaxation techniques and personal strategic planning.

The Baltimore Talent Education Center is now accepting applications for its September-through-May academic year.

The center is a non-profit organization that provides music education for Baltimore children from age four through high school.

Teen Outreach Program of Baltimore, a school-based program designed to raise the self-esteem of middle school students, will conclude its school year this morning with a lecture/demonstration by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.

Advance registration for the fall semester at the University of Baltimore will be held Jun 11-July 18.

Walk-in registration will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 11 a.m.- 7 p.m., and Thursday, Aug. 29, 11 a.m.- 7 p.m..
