EVENTS HONOR SMALL FIRMS

The Greater Annapolis Chamber of Commerce is co-sponsoring three separate events in recognition of the small-business community's contributions to America.

A Business Plan Development and Analysis workshop is scheduled from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. May 8, at the Chamber Conference Room, One Annapolis Street, Annapolis.

Co-sponsored by the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), this workshop will include an overview of business plan for start-up firms and a critique of existing plans. The cost is $15.

Procurement Opportunities in Anne Arundel County for Minority and Women Owned Businesses will be the topic of a workshop set from 3 to 7 p.m. May 9, at the Annapolis Holiday Inn and Conference Center, 210 Holiday Court, Annapolis.

The program will begin with a contractor's forum, and fifteen

county agencies will be on hand to answer questions. The event is co-sponsored by the Anne Arundel County office of Purchasing/Minority Business Enterprise Program. The cost is $20.

The final event will be the Small Business Financing Symposium-Meet the Lenders workshop from 7:30 a.m. to noon, May 10 at the Annapolis Dinner Theater, 339 Revell Highway, Annapolis.

The symposium will be co-sponsored by the Anne Arundel

County Office of Economic Development'sSucce$$ Program, and include a variety of topics ranging from SBA 504 Small Business Financing, How to Approach the Bank, and the Community Retirement Act.

A number of county lenders will be the guest speakers, and informal meetings will follow the program. Cost is $20.
