DRUG ARRESTS: Western District -- Police raided a house in the 1500 block of W. Lanvale St. yesterday and arrested six men, including five from out of town, and recovered more than $7,000 worth of crack cocaine, packaging material, cash and ammunition for a handgun. Police said the arrests by the district's drug enforcement unit followed surveillance of the house for more than three months. Charged with possession of cocaine and crack cocaine and possession with intent to distribute the drugs are Kenneth Prince, 28, of the 1700 block of W. Lanvale St., and Roger Fulton, Gerald Young and George Garrison, all 21, and residents of New York City. Also James Canty, 21, of Montclair, N.J., and Dion Richards, 21, of Washington. Police said all six men also were charged with trafficking in narcotics within 1,000 feet of a school, Harlem Park Junior High, which is across the street from the raided house. Police said all six men were held overnight at the station's lockup pending a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police reported that someone entered the back yard of a home in the 2300 block of N. Dukeland St. and took a gas-operated lawn mower. Police said the property was valued at $300.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police reported that someone broke into West End Drug Abuse, a drug rehabilitation center, in the 2400 block of W. Baltimore St. by opening a rear door and took a television and a portable air conditioner. Police said the value of the property was not immediately known.

SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- Police reported Calvin Peacock, an out-of-town resident, was shot in the upper right leg Tuesday night while walking in the 1900 block of Poplar Grove St. Police said no arrest has been made and that it was not immediately known if Peacock was a target of a gunman or the victim of a stray bullet.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that property valued at more than $100 was taken from a dwelling in the 2100 block of Wilhelm St. after someone entered through a first-floor rear window.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 900 block of W. Saratoga St. reported that a 13-inch television and more than $200 were taken from a dwelling after someone entered through a rear door. Police said the television was valued at nearly $100.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police reported that a television was taken from a house in the 2500 block of W. Lafayette Ave. after someone broke into the house.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police said someone broke into a dwelling in the 1800 block of N. Pulaski St. and stole property valued at nearly $300. Police said entry was gained through a basement door.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Employees of Super Fried Chicken in the 1200 block of W. North Ave. reported that someone broke into the business when it was closed and took $35 worth of cigarettes. Police said entry was gained through a rear door.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 5100 block of Sekots Road reported that on two separate occasions, someone broke into his home and took property. Police said that during the first break-in April 27, property valued at nearly $1,800 was taken from the house after someone entered by forcing a door. The next day, according to police, property valued at more than $400 was taken.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Donald Gerlach, of the 4800 block of Arabia Ave., reported that someone entered the back yard of his home and took a gas cooking grill valued at nearly $250.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Anthony Bowman, of the 1700 block of Waverly Way, reported that someone broke into his car while the vehicle was parked near his home and took a nail gun and several tools used for the installation of drywall. Police said the property was valued at $300.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police today were seeking four men who attacked a couple walking in the 2700 block of Harford Road early yesterday and robbed them of property valued at $900. Police said the victims, Patricia Tolson, of the 6100 block of Talles Road in western Baltimore County, and Joseph Pryor, of the 900 block of Belgian Ave., were walking together about 3 a.m. yesterday when four men accosted them. Police said the men robbed Tolson of her purse and a gold bracelet, all valued at more than $300, and then robbed Pryor of three gold rings valued at $600. Police said that during the robbery, Pryor was struck in the face by one of the men.

RAPE: Northeastern District -- Police said a 40-year-old woman reported she was in the 2700 block of St. Lo Drive about 3 a.m. yesterday when she was forced into a wooded area of Clifton Park by a man who raped her. After reporting the incident to police, the woman was taken to Francis Scott Key Medical Center, where she was treated for injuries and released.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Employees of the Fava shoe store in the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane reported a man entered the store yesterday and took two pairs of tennis shoes from a display shelf. Police said the man fled out the door and that the shoes were valued at $100.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Officials of the city-owned Mount Pleasant golf course in the 6100 block of Hillen Road reported that someone broke into the storage shed in the 2800 block of Harford Road and took a lawn mower and a battery charger. Police said the property was valued at more than $400.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Richard Carrington, of the 400 block of N. Grantley St., reported that someone entered the bedroom of a house he owns in the 2700 block of Fenwick Ave. and took a 13-inch television and cash. Police said the property was valued at more than $800 and that Carrington reported he suspects a woman he knows of taking the property.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a dwelling in the 1200 block of N. Augusta Ave. after cutting out a section of screen and opening a window. The thief took property valued at nearly $500. Police said the break-in occurred May 1.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 1100 block of Gleneagle Road reported that a man she knows entered her home between Monday and yesterday and took her washing machine. Police said the appliance was valued at more than $400.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Essex District -- Police reported a man armed with a knife entered the High's dairy store in the 1900 block of Eastern Blvd. shortly before 7 p.m. yesterday and ordered a clerk to give him the contents of the cash register. Police said the man fled with an undisclosed sum of cash.

ROBBERY: Essex District -- Police said a woman standing at a bus stop at the corner of Tidewater Lane and Eastern Avenue shortly before 6:30 p.m. yesterday was robbed of her purse by two men, one armed with a handgun, who approached her from behind. Following the robbery, the men got into a black Hyundai and drove off. Police said the victim's name was not immediately available and that the value of the property was not known.

Anne Arundel

ASSAULT/ROBBERY: Pioneer City -- David Wayne Griffith, 23, of the 300 block of Lori Drive in Glen Burnie, told police he was preparing to tow a car from Donaldson Avenue near Md. 170 Wednesday morning when he was accosted by four men, one armed with a rifle, who demanded his money. Police said Griffith, a towing company employee, was robbed of $50 and then struck in the face with the rifle. After reporting the robbery, police said Griffith was taken to North Arundel Hospital for treatment and released.

DRUG ARREST: Laurel -- Police responding to disorderly people dealing drugs in the 3300 block of Cranberry St. Tuesday night arrested a man and charged him with possession of PCP and possession with intent to distribute. Police said that when officers arrived on the scene, they saw a man get out of a 1986 Ford truck and run from the area. Police said the man was followed by officers who retrieved PCP flakes, a 35mm film canister and plastic baggies the man discarded. Police said nearly 30 grams of PCP were recovered. Police said the man, Ernest Martin Duncan, of the 3300 block of Old Annapolis Road in Laurel, was arrested and charged. Police said bail information on Duncan was not available.

THEFT/ARRESTS: Glen Burnie -- Police arrested a 20-year-old man and a juvenile and charged them each with felony theft and unauthorized use of two cars when they attempted to sell the stolen vehicles to undercover police. Police said officers met two people at Arundel Hills Park on Furnace Branch Road after making an appointment to buy two stolen cars. Police said that after the pair arrived at the park, one in a 1991 Isuzu Trooper and the other in a 1986 Nissan Pulsar, they were arrested on the spot. Police said the Trooper was stolen the night before from Wilkens Buick/Isuzu in the 6900 block of Ritchie Highway. The Nissan, police said, was stolen from a resident of the 300 block of Gatewater Court in Glen Burnie. Police said bail information on the adult, Daniel Ray Williams, of the 3700 block of St. Margaret St. in Curtis Bay, was not available. Police said the juvenile was released into the custody of his parents pending action by juvenile authorities.

BURGLARY: Arnold -- Police reported that property valued at $1,000 was taken from a dwelling in the 500 block of Bay Dale Court after someone gained entry through a rear window. Police said the intruder escaped with a television, jewelry and a videocassette recorder.

BURGLARY: Ferndale -- A resident of the 400 block of S. Hammonds Ferry Road reported that someone broke into his home by opening a rear door and took a videocassette recorder, compact disc player and crystal candlestick holders. Police said the property was valued at nearly $500.

BURGLARY: Glen Burnie -- Police reported that someone broke into a dwelling in the 800 block of Marley Ave. over the weekend and took property valued at more than $3,000. Police said the intruder escaped after taking cash, a television, stereo equipment, a videocassette recorder, diamond ring and other pieces of jewelry. Police said entry was gained through a sliding glass door.

Carroll County

ARSON: Sykesville -- Police and fire investigators said a fire that caused minor damage to an apartment building at the Sykesville Apartments on Village Road last weekend was deliberately set. Police said the fire caused about $2,000 in damage to a first-floor storage room. No injuries were reported. Police said a second fire in a storage building on the property of the former Cambridge Rubber Co. in Taneytown caused an estimated $500 in damage and also has been ruled an arson.
