Pharmacy worker arrested

A five-month investigation into illicit sales of prescription tranquilizers led to the arrest yesterday of an employee at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center on Loch Raven Boulevard and her boyfriend, authorities reported.

Delories Ann Gittings, 33, a pharmacy technician, was arrested at the hospital while her boyfriend, Floyd Patterson Goodwin, 45, was seized attheir home in the 700 block of North Linwood Avenue in East Baltimore. They were charged with multiple drug offenses and conspiracy.

Cpl. Carl E. Pearsall of the state police Bureau of Drug Enforcement said undercover investigators bought "several thousand pills" in recent months at the house. The drugs were believed to have been taken from the hospital.
