THEFT: Northern District -- Christopher Jensen, of the 2800 block of N. Howard St., reported that between April 26 and yesterday someone removed several goldfish from a pond in his back yard. Police said the fish were valued at nearly $60.
BURGLARY/ARREST: Northern District -- Employees of Allied Contractors in the 200 block of E. Preston St. reported that someone broke into a company trailer while it was parked at a construction site in the 100 block of W. Cold Spring Lane and removed property valued at more than $1,000. Later, police arrested a suspect and were holding him at the station pending charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone broke into Columbia Publishing in the 200 block of E. 25th St. and removed a VCR and radio equipment. Police said the property was valued at nearly $1,000.
THEFT: Southeastern District -- Shirley Gholson, 48, of the 2000 block of W. Lanvale St., reported she was standing at a bus stop in the 2100 block of E. Fayette St. late Monday night when a man stopped and began to engage her in conversation. Gholson told police that while she was talking to the man, he ripped off the gold chain she was wearing around her neck and fled. Police said the jewelry was valued at more than $100.
BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Employees of Your Super Music, a cassette tape and record store at the Old Town Mall in the 500 block of N. Gay St., reported that someone broke into the building through a second-floor rear window and removed cash and a radio. Police said the property was valued at more than $400. Police said the burglary was discovered when an alarm went off.
BURGLARY/ARREST: Southeastern District -- Police responding to a burglary in the 200 block of S. Dallas Court yesterday evening entered the building and arrested a man who had broken in with the intent to steal property. Police said the dwelling is owned by the Baltimore Housing Authority. Police said Delroy Deshield, 32, of the 1000 block of Witherspoon Road, was arrested and charged with burglary. Police said Deshield was held overnight at the district lockup pending a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.
BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- A resident of the 3200 block of Fleet St. reported that upon her return home yesterday evening she discovered that someone had entered her home -- apparently with a key -- and removed $400.
THEFT: Southeastern District -- Christine Tamiola, 38, of the 800 block of S. Grundy St., reported that someone entered her property over the weekend and removed a 10-speed bike. Police said the bike was secured with a chain and that its value was not immediately known.
SHOOTING: Southeastern District -- Dante Coley, 19, of the 500 block of N. Belnord Ave., reported that during an incident at his home Monday evening he was shot in the hand by a man he earlier had allowed into his home. Coley told police that shortly after the man entered his home, he pulled out a handgun and demanded money. Coley reported the man then shot him and fled. Police said Coley was taken to a hospital for treatment and was released.
THEFT: Southeastern District -- Employees of the Rite-Aid pharmacy in the 2200 block of E. Monument St. reported that a man entered the store shortly after 8:30 a.m. yesterday and removed more than 100 cigarette lighters, valued at $150, from a display.
ASSAULT: Southeastern District -- Police today continued seeking a man who assaulted Edward Robinson, 44, of the 1700 block of Bank St., when Robinson attempted to stop the man from stealing scrap copper from his company in the 2000 block of Aliceanna St. Police said Robinson spotted the man stealing scrap copper valued at more than $20 yesterday morning and was attempting to stop him when the man struck Robinson in the head with a piece of copper pipe. Police said the man escaped and that Robinson was not seriously injured.
THEFT: Southeastern District -- Ernest Woodzello, 23, an out-of-town resident, reported that someone broke into his parked 1987 Jeep in the 1600 block of Thames St. over the weekend and removed a stereo radio and an outside mirror. Police said the property was valued at $200.
ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Amelia Tillie, the barmaid at Frankie and Dean's bar in the 1900 block of Fleet St., told police she was walking toward her car around 3 a.m. Monday after closing up the business when she was attacked from behind by a man who shoved her up against the wall of a building. Police said the man then stole the woman's purse and fled. Police said the man escaped with cash and property, all valued at about $200.
ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Darryl Jones, 26, of the 1600 block of E. 33rd St., reported that while staying at the Eastgate Motel in the 3600 block of Pulaski Highway someone entered his room early Sunday morning and robbed him of his wallet containing $25. Jones told police that during the robbery he was attacked by a man who struck him several times with a piece of wood before fleeing.
ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Raymond Jones, of the 1600 block of E. Preston St., told police that during an incident in the 2700 block of The Alameda late Sunday evening he was attacked by a man who struck him in the face with his fist. Police said the man escaped and that Jones was taken to a hospital, where he was treated for a fractured nose and released.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Employees of the White Coffee Pot Restaurant in the 3900 block of Erdman Ave. reported that someone broke into the building over the weekend through a rear door and removed a safe from the office. Police said it was not immediately known what the safe contained.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Officials of Al Packer Ford in the 5600 block of Belair Road reported that someone broke into the main building early Monday before employees reported for work and removed property from a cabinet in a second-floor office.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2100 block of Odell Ave. reported that someone broke into her home through a kitchen window and removed stereo equipment valued at $600 from the bedroom.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police said supplies and equipment of unknown value were removed from the maintenance shop of the Sinclair Gate Apartments in the 5500 block of Bowleys Lane. Police said entry was gained by forcing open the shop's front door.
ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Gwendolynn Smallwood, of the 4300 block of Harford Road, reported she was in the 7000 block of Harford Road Monday when a man approached her from behind and stole her purse. Police said the man escaped with cash and property, all valued at $70.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that property valued at more than $200 was removed from a dwelling in the 2900 block of Grindon Ave. yesterday after someone gained entry through a basement window.
ABDUCTION/RAPE: Northeastern District -- Police today were seeking a man in connection with the abduction and rape of a woman over the weekend. Police said the victim reported she was on Belair Road Sunday afternoon when she was forced into a car by a man with a knife. The woman told police she was driven to an unknown location, reportedly in Baltimore County, where the man threatened her with the knife and raped her. Following the rape, the woman reported the incident to police, who took her to a hospital for treatment.
ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police reported a deliveryman for Pizza Quick in the 4300 block of Belair Road was returning to his car after delivering a food order to the occupants of a house in the 4900 block of Gunther Ave. shortly after 5 p.m. yesterday when he was accosted by a man with a handgun who demanded his money. Police said the gunman escaped with less than $50.

ROBBERY: White Marsh District -- Dennis Zovko, of the first block of Ayr Court in Perry Hall, reported he was driving on Pulaski Highway near 64th Street Sunday night when he picked up a hitchhiker. Moments later, according to a police report, the hitchhiker robbed Zovko of more than $300. Police said the hitchhiker then ordered Zovko to stop and fled on foot.
ROBBERY: White Marsh District -- Police reported a man walked into the Trak Auto store at the Golden Ring Mall in the 8600 block of Philadelphia Road around 9:30 a.m. Sunday and asked a female clerk about parts for a car. Police said the man then pulled his jacket aside, showing the clerk the butt of a handgun. Police said the man ordered the employee into a rear office where she was forced to open a safe and give the man its contents. Police said the gunman was given an undisclosed sum of cash and fled.
VANDALISM: White Marsh District -- Police reported that someone damaged or destroyed mailboxes on two different streets over the weekend. Police said two mailboxes in the 7600 block of Babikow Road and one in the 5000 block of King Ave. were vandalized by the occupants of a pickup truck seen driving off. Police said the three mailboxes were valued at nearly $100.
Carroll County
THEFT/ARRESTS: Westminster -- City police arrested, two men and a woman, all of Baltimore, and were holding them in connection with attempting to return stolen merchandise to a store at Cranberry Mall in order to receive a cash refund. Police said an employee of Leggett's, a department store at the mall, reported seeing suspicious subjects sitting in a car on the parking lot and that inside the vehicle were several shopping bags with the Leggett logo that contained clothing, reportedly not purchased. Police said while officers were interviewing the trio, one of them attempted to flee but was caught. An investigation showed that the license plates on the car were stolen. Police said the three suspects face charges of conspiracy to commit theft and theft of license plates.
THEFT: Eldersburg -- A resident of Bennett Road reported that someone removed boating supplies and equipment valued at nearly $3,000 from his property.
THEFT: Sykesville -- Police reported that someone removed several pieces of lawn furniture from outside a home on Green Valley Way. Police said the property was valued at nearly $300.
THEFT: Sykesville -- A resident of Cimarron Place reported the theft of an AM-FM radio, a cassette player, two speakers and an equalizer from his vehicle while it was parked on his property. Police said the radio and sound equipment was valued at $300.
Harford County
VANDALISM: Havre de Grace -- The sheriff's department reported that someone broke into the Harford Center and the Harford Jewish Center over the past few days and vandalized the interior of the two buildings, both at the intersection of Earlton Road and Md. 155. Police said that classrooms were ransacked and windows, door and screens were destroyed. Entry to the two buildings was through classroom windows. Police said it appeared that nothing was stolen and that the estimate of damage was not immediately known. Anyone having information about the incident should call the sheriff's office at 838-6600.
