Hazel Juliette Burrell, a former store owner in the Dundalk area who had lived in Winston-Salem, N.C., since 1975, died April 18 following a stroke three days earlier. She was 75.

The former Hazel Little married James Moir Burrell on Aug. 31, 1935, when they both worked for R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. in Winston-Salem. In 1943, the couple moved to Baltimore, where Mr. Burrell went to work for Bethlehem Steel Corp., and Mrs. Burrell opened Burrell's Five and Ten Cent Store in Turners Station in the Dundalk area. She operated the store until 1961.

The couple moved back to Winston-Salem when Mr. Burrell retired in 1975.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Burrell is survived by two daughters, Loretta Burrell Mason of Los Angeles and Annette Burrell Mussa of Baltimore; two sons, Walter B. Burrell of Baltimore and Warren Moir Burrell of Winston-Salem; a stepdaughter, Mary Louise Skinner of Landover; two sisters, Maxie Brunson of Detroit and Kate Adams of Southern Pines, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
