Construction of the light-rail line will alter some traffic patterns downtown this weekend.

The intersection at Howard and Pratt streets was being closed from 6 p.m. today until 5 a.m. Monday. Motorists northbound on Howard will be directed east on Pratt, north on Hanover Street, west on Lombard Street and north on Howard.

Fayette Street between Hopkins Place and Paca Street will close at 7 p.m. and reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.
