Gov. William Donald Schaefer is looking for a new spokesman, following the sudden resignation of Paul E. Schurick, his press secretary for the last 1 1/2 years.
Schurick, who announced his resignation yesterday, said he will remain on Schaefer's staff, although his duties have not been defined.
"I just felt it was time for a change," he said.
Schurick worked for Schaefer when he was mayor of Baltimore and later joined his gubernatorial staff. He became press secretary in 1989.
