OFFICER ASSAULTED: Northeastern District -- Officer David Reichert reported he was responding to a call of a suspicious man in the 1900 block of Argonne Drive early yesterday when he spotted the man. Reichert said that when the man saw him he ran away. Reichert gave chase and caught up with the man. While talking to the man, Reichert was struck in the face. Police said that during a brief scuffle, the man tried to take the officer's gun from its holster but was subdued. Police said the man, whose name is not known and was booked as a John Doe, was to have been charged with assaulting a police officer and attempted robbery. Police said Reichert sustained minor injuries.

OFFICERS INJURED: Southwestern District -- Two Western District police officers were injured yesterday afternoon when their car was struck by a vehicle driven by a man who was later arrested. Police said Officers William Tuller and John Fabula were in uniform and in a patrol car that was struck by another vehicle in the 2900 block of W. Baltimore St. Police said the driver of the other car was arrested and that Tuller and Fabula each were taken to a hospital for treatment of head and back injuries.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police reported that someone broke into a dwelling in the 1900 block of W. Lexington St. between April 18 and April 21 and removed tools valued at more than $100. Police said that entry was gained through a basement window.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police said two women reported they were in a liquor store in the 2200 block of W. North Ave. over the weekend when they were robbed of their money by two men, one armed with a handgun. Police said the gunman and his accomplice robbed Audrey Jones, of the 3000 block of Baker St., of $4 in cash and forced the other woman, Barbara Jackson, of the 1200 block of Woodson Road, to hand over her purse containing $100 in cash.

THEFT: Western District -- A resident of the 2000 block of W. Lafayette Ave. reported that a relative moved out and took property valued at nearly $2,000. Nicole Olive told police the relative took a 20-inch TV, a microwave oven, compact disc player, a cassette radio, two VCRs and stereo equipment. Police said a 40-year-old woman was being sought in connection with the theft.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police reported that someone broke into a home in the 1100 block of N. Gilmor St. over the weekend and removed a bike that had been left in the hallway by a visitor. Police said the bike was valued at $80 and that entry was gained through the front door.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Shante Yarborough, of the 800 block of N. Mount St., reported she was in the 1500 block of W. Lafayette Ave. when she was attacked by a man who knocked her to the ground and robbed her of the 14-karat gold chain she was wearing. Yarborough told police the jewelry was valued at $300.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 2300 block of Eutaw Place reported that someone broke into his apartment over the weekend and removed a refrigerator, a table and a vanity set. Police said the property was valued at $2,000 and that entry was gained by forcing the door.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Robert Askins, of the 2800 block of Montebello Terrace, reported that during an incident in the 300 block of Iona Terrace about 3 a.m. yesterday, he was attacked by a man who struck him on the head with a knife and a piece of wood. Police said a suspect in the case was later arrested and was being held at the Eastern District pending charges of aggravated assault and assault with a deadly weapon.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 5000 block of E. Preston St. reported that someone broke into his outdoor storage shed and removed a 1990 dirt bike. Police said the value of the vehicle was not immediately known and that the break-in occurred yesterday between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that property valued at more than $700 was removed from a dwelling in the 2500 block of Cecil Ave. after someone broke in between April 20 and yesterday.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Paul McFadden, of the 1600 block of Lochwood Road, reported he was at the Northwood Shopping Center in the 1400 block of Havenwood Road yesterday when he was accosted by a man who implied he was armed with a handgun and ordered McFadden to give up his money. Police said the man fled the scene with $300 in cash. Later, police arrested a suspect in the case and were holding him at the Eastern District pending robbery charges.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Jackie Lyons, of the 2900 block of Grantley Road, reported she was in the 6400 block of Pulaski Highway yesterday afternoon when a man pointed a knife at her and threatened to cut her. Police said the man was arrested and was being held at the Eastern District pending assault and deadly weapon charges.

ROBBERY/SHOOTING: Northeastern District -- Troy Jones, of the 800 block of Nat Court, told police he was in the 3200 block of the Alameda late yesterday evening when he was stopped by three men, one armed with a handgun, who robbed him of his sports bag. Police said that after robbing Jones, the gunman shot the victim three times in the right leg. Police said the gunman and his accomplices fled and that Jones was taken to Union Memorial Hospital for treatment.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1700 block of E. 25th St. reported that someone broke into his home yesterday evening and removed more than $100 in cash.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police said a resident of the 7200 block of Jimrowe Court at Hollander Ridge reported that someone broke into her home yesterday and removed property valued at $300. Police said the burglar made off with a TV and a camera.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Brenda Jackson, 22, of the 2600 block of Oswego Ave., told police she was walking in the rear of the 4300 block of Park Heights Ave. shortly before 8 p.m. yesterday when she was approached by a man armed with a knife. Jackson told police the man pointed the knife at her throat and asked if she had any money. Jackson reported she gave the man $9 in cash. Police said the man took the money and ran off.

RAPE: Western District -- Police were seeking two men who assaulted woman early yesterday and forced her to accompany them to a house in the 1800 block of W. North Ave., where they raped her. The victim told police that one of the men was armed with a handgun and threatened to shoot her if she did not submit. Following the rape, the woman reported the incident and was taken to a hospital for treatment before being released.

ROBBERY/ARRESTS: Western District -- Police arrested two men and were holding them at the station pending charges that they robbed a man of $20 at gunpoint in the 1800 block of McKean Ave. The victim, Aaron Scott, of the 1900 block of N. Monroe St., reported he was in the 1800 block of McKean Ave. about 7:30 p.m. Sunday when he was accosted by two men, one armed with a handgun, who ordered him to give up his money. After robbing Scott of $20, the men fled, but were arrested a short time later.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Cheryl Anderson, of the 1500 block of N. Fulton Ave., reported she was near her home Sunday evening when she was accosted by a man armed with a knife who cut her on the right hand and robbed her of $20. Police said Anderson was taken to a hospital for treatment of a lacerated hand and released.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Isom Pebles, of the 1100 block of W. Mulberry St., told police he was in the 1000 block of N. Payson St. late Sunday evening when he was attacked by two men, one armed with handgun and him and robbed him of his wallet. Police said the two men escaped with cash and property, all valued at more than $50.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 100 block of Stonecroft Road reported that someone broke into his home between early Sunday morning and late Sunday evening and removed property valued at nearly $3,000.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Alton Brooks, of the 700 block of N. Grantley St., reported that someone entered the back yard of his home yesterday and removed lawn furniture valued at more than $100.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Officials of the Keswick Nursing Home in the 700 block of E. 40th St. reported that someone entered an office and removed a metal box containing more than $300 in cash. Police said there were no signs of forced entry, causing them to believe that the thief entered the room with a key.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a residence in the 700 block of E. 41st St. yesterday through the kitchen window and removed a radio, 19-inch TV, VCR, clock-radio and several pieces of jewelry. Police said the property was valued at nearly $1,100.

Baltimore County

BURGLARY/ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- Police today were seeking two men who broke into a house in the first block of Tremaine Court last night and ransacked several rooms, taking jewelry and cash. Police said a woman was home when the men broke in shortly before 10 p.m. but she was not injured. Police said one of the men was armed with a handgun and that before fleeing, they disconnected at least two phones on the first floor. Police said that after the men fled, the woman went to a second-floor bedroom and used a phone in that room to summon aid.

Anne Arundel County

DRUG ARRESTS: Annapolis -- Police armed with a search and seizure warrant raided a room at an Annapolis hotel and arrested four people, including three juveniles, on charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Seized in the Sunday evening raid were nearly 50 grams of crack cocaine and $1,000 in cash. Police said the arrests came after employees of the unnamed hotel reported seeing suspicious activity in the vicinity of two rooms rented with cash by one of those arrested and who displayed large sums of money while in the hotel. Arrested and held in the county detention center in lieu of $75,000 bond was Eugene Collah Wheeler, 21, of Brooklyn, N.Y. The juveniles, two from Brooklyn, N.Y., and one from Washington, remain in the custody of the county Department of Social Services.

Carroll County

BURGLARY: Westminster -- Police reported that someone broke into a vehicle while it was parked in the first block of Marhill Court over the weekend and removed a radar detector. Police said the property was valued at $200.

Harford County

THEFT: Aberdeen -- Employees of Harco Oldsmobile at Md. 22 and Beards Hill Road reported that someone entered the lot last week and stole a Mercedes-Benz valued at more than $30,000.

BURGLARY: Joppa -- An employee of a marine warehouse in the 900 block of Pulaski Highway reported that someone broke into the building last week and removed an outboard motor from a boat. Police said the value of the motor was unknown, but that the thief caused more than $2,600 in damage breaking into the building.
