Sue Kable, manager of Singer Travel Agency in Randallstown, Baltimore County, has earned the professional designation of certified travelcounselor from the Institute of Certified Travel Agents, Wellesley, Mass.

A resident of here, Kable joins more than 13,000 other travel professionals across the country in achieving this distinction.

To receive the CTC -- similar to the accounting industry's certified public accountant or the insurance industry's certified licensed underwriter -- candidates must acquire at least five years' full-timetravel industry experience and complete four travel management courses and a special project.

They also pass four essay exams.
