Maryland guard Matt Roe has received one of 125 NCAA postgraduate scholarships, the school has announced.
Roe, a senior from Manlius, N.Y., who was also named third-team All-ACC and an academic All-American, was named as one of four at-large students to receive a scholarship for postgraduate studies.
An NCAA committee also selected 121 other student-athletes from other sports, including 28 men's and women's basketball players, for scholarships.
Roe, who averaged 17.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, will receive a $5,000 award, which he will use for law school. He is the sixth Maryland student to receive a postgraduate scholarship, including such basketball notables as Tom McMillen and Greg Manning.
