LOS ANGELES -- Actor Adam Rich of television's "Eight is Enough" has been arrested on suspicion of shoplifting from a department store, one day after he was charged with breaking into a nearby pharmacy, officials said.

Mr. Rich, 22, was taken into custody Tuesday by Bullock's Department Store security guards after they said they found him in possession of a pair of socks and sunglasses for which he had no receipt. He was released to his father on $250 bail.
