* OUTLOOK: The 76ers will be without Charles Barkley (knee) and Kenny Payne (ankle), but Ron Anderson has picked up the slack, averaging 26.7 points, shooting 59 percent from the field and collecting nine rebounds per game. The Sixers (43-33) are on a three-game winning streak.

The Bullets (27-49) are 8-31 away from home, having lost six in a row on the road and four straight overall. The Bullets again will be without forwards Bernard King (back strain) and Charles Jones (groin).

On Sunday the Bullets return to the Capital Centre, where they are 19-18 this season. They are 1-4 against Miami (23-53), which marks the first time the Bullets have lost a season series to an expansion team. Bullets forward John Williams has started the last five games and is averaging 16.2 points.
