Science Center to observe 'First in Flight Day'

Admission to the Maryland Science Center at the Inner Harbor will be free Tuesday and operating hours will be extended to mark several anniversaries in space and flight history.

"First in Flight Day" observes Orville Wright's birthday; the 30th anniversary of the first man in space; and the 10th anniversary of the space shuttle, Columbia. Planned is a special display including photos of Orville and Wilbur Wright and models of Columbia and the space capsule Apollo.

The center, at 601 Light St., will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the event. For more information, call 685-5225.
