Police seek help to find hit-and-run suspect

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Baltimore County police are asking the public for help in their investigation of a fatal hit-and-run accident on Hanover Pike on April 6.

On that date, George William Redifer Jr., 34, of Owings Mills pulled to the side of the road in the 15600 block of Hanover Pike about 2 a.m., with part of his car still on the roadway. As he got out of the car, Mr. Redifer was hit by a passing vehicle.

Mr. Redifer was dragged a short distance by the car, which sped away, police said.

A county police investigation has determined that the vehicle that struck him was a 1988 Ford Bronco II or a Ford Ranger. Police believe that the vehicle was damaged on the right front or right side in the accident.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call the Baltimore County police at 887-2198.
