STABBING: Western District -- Police reported that Kevin Wright, of the 700 block of Grantley St., was stabbed in the chest three times with a knife in the 2800 block of Harlem Ave. Police said they were seeking a 20-year-old man who had a grudge against Wright. They said Wright was taken to the Shock-Trauma Unit in Baltimore, where he was listed today in stable condition.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Anthony Brown reported he was in the 700 block of N. Mount St. on Monday when he was attacked by a woman and three men who struck him with a brick and robbed him of $100. Police said Brown was slightly injured.

STABBING/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a 15-year-old resident of the 6000 block of Harford Road and were holding him at the station following the stabbing Monday afternoon of Paul Hope, of the 1900 block of Mosher St. Police said Hope, attacked in the 1900 block of Riggs Ave., was stabbed several times and was listed in stable condition today at Shock-Trauma. They said the accused, Melvin McCullough, was charged as an adult and was being held without bail pending a hearing in District Court.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police reported that someone broke into a dwelling in the 2500 block of Eutaw Place and removed a computer game valued at $100. Police said the burglary occurred over the weekend and that entry was gained by forcing the front door.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police said an 11-year-old resident of the 500 block of Beechfield Ave. was walking in the 5200 block of Frederick Ave. when he was approached by an older youth who demanded money. Police said that when the 11-year-old refused, the older youth struck him with his fists and robbed him of his eyeglasses and some change. Police said a 12-year-old boy known by the victim was being sought in the incident.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 1300 block of Wildwood Parkway reported that someone broke into her home through the front door over the weekend and removed property valued at nearly $600.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Cathy Ferrell, of the 500 block of Lakewood Ave., reported she was walking near her home yesterday when a man in his 20s approached her from behind and placed a hard object against her back. Ferrell told police the man pulled six rings she was wearing from her fingers and fled. Police said the rings were valued at more than $1,400.

ROBBERY TRY/ARREST: Southeastern District -- Police arrested a 25-year-old man and charged him with the attempted robbery of Arnold Townsend, 39, of the 4600 block of York Road. They said Townsend was walking in the 1700 block of Gough St. yesterday when a man knocked him to the ground and tried to rob him. Finding no money on Townsend, the man fled. Police said Ronald Wayne Robinson, of the 2400 block of E. Biddle St., was arrested a short time later and charged with assault and attempted robbery. He was held overnight in the station's lockup pending a hearing before a District Court commissioner.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Employees of the Lafayette Courts Family Health Center in the 200 block of Aisquith St. reported that someone broke into the building through a bathroom window and removed an AM-FM cassette player, valued at $200, from the office.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a dwelling in the 4900 block of Challedon Road over the weekend by forcing the front door and removed property valued at more than $3,000.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Richard Robertson, of the 1500 block of Abbotston St., reported he was in the 2700 block of Kirk Ave. early yesterday when he was stopped by two men in their late teens or early 20s who asked him for money. Police said that when Robertson refused, one of the men pulled out a knife and cut him on the arm. They said both men fled and Robertson was taken by ambulance to Union Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Employees of Slaysman and Sons in the 5500 block of Belair Road reported that while a company truck was parked near the firm, someone broke into it and removed a radar detector valued at more than $200.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Police said a 10-year-old resident of the 1800 block of Maulsby Court was attacked yesterday near his home by an older youth who struck him with a piece of wood. Police said the victim was taken to Francis Scott Key Medical Center for treatment and released.

THEFT/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police responding to a shoplifting at the K mart in the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane arrested a 27-year-old man who attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise valued at more than $100. They said the suspect was detained for police by a store security officer. Police said the suspect was held overnight at the Eastern District lockup pending a bail hearing today before a District Court commissioner.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 4400 block of Franconia Drive reported that someone broke into her home and removed a TV, a jar full of pennies and several pieces of clothing, all valued at $400.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Ira Linton, of the 5200 block of Goodnow Road, reported that he was bitten on an ear and the chest by another man in the 5100 block of Goodnow Road yesterday evening. Police said Linton was treated for bites at a hospital and released. His assailant, police said, was being sought.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police reported that a deliveryman for Pizz-A-Boli's in the 1700 block of E. Northern Parkway was making a food delivery early yesterday in the 1000 block of Woodbourne Ave. when he was stopped by a man who appeared to have a machine gun. The victim told police the gunman stole $11. The deliveryman returned to the carry-out and reported the incident to his employer, who called police.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Rhonda Tucker, of the 8700 block of Loch Raven Blvd., reported she was in the 500 block of E. 33rd St. Monday evening when a man she knows stole her diamond ring. Police said officers later arrested a suspect in the robbery. They said the man was being held at the police station pending charges.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 600 block of Montpelier St. reported that someone broke into her home and removed a TV, stereo equipment and other property, all valued at $300. Police said the thief entered a second-floor window after climbing a ladder that was left outside the house.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that clothing valued at nearly $150 was removed from a dwelling in the 5000 block of Greenleaf Road after someone broke in.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 4500 block of Eastway reported that several pieces of jewelry, valued at nearly $3,000, were removed from her home after someone broke in.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Tracie Jones, of the 1700 block of Presstman St., told police that while she was in the 1200 block of W. Franklin St. late Monday evening, she was assaulted by a man with a handgun who struck her in the face with his fist and robbed her of more than $100. Police said Jones sustained a minor injury and refused medical treatment on the scene.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police reported that several appliances and other household items were removed from a dwelling in the 1100 block of N. Gilmor St. after someone gained entry through a rear door. Police said the property was valued at nearly $2,000.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Joseph Clark, of the 4600 block of Elsrode Ave., reported that while his truck was parked in the 2900 block of List Ave. yesterday, someone removed two ladders from the vehicle. Police said the property was valued at $200.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone broke into a dwelling in the 1600 block of Lorman St. and removed a bottle of beer, and $12.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Pamela Parker, of the 1100 block of Ashburton St., reported she was attacked by several young males who struck her with a board yesterday afternoon in the 800 block of N. Appleton St. Police said Parker suffered a laceration of the arm but refused medical treatment.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police reported that Della Richardson, of the 1600 block of W. Lanvale St., was near her home early yesterday when she was accosted by two men, one with a handgun, who stole $60 from her.

RAPE: Western District -- Police today were seeking a man in connection with the rape early yesterday of a 29-year-old woman who was dragged into an alley off the 2400 block of W. Franklin St. The victim told police she was walking on the street around 2 a.m. when a man attacked her from behind, pulled her into the alley and raped her. The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was treated for injuries and released.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Officials of the American Rescue Workers in the 2400 block of W. Baltimore St. reported that someone entered an office and removed more than $1,000 from a locked cabinet.

ROBBERY/SHOOTING: Western District -- Police reported that Larry Stiles, of the 4200 block of Flowerton Road, was in the 1900 block of W. Lafayette Ave. yesterday evening when he was stopped by a man with a handgun, who $65 and several pieces of jewelry. Police said the gunman then shot Stiles in the right leg. Stiles was taken to a hospital for treatment and was admitted.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Lamont Richards, of the 1000 block of N. Calhoun St., told police he was attacked by a man who pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the leg across the street from his home. Police said the man escaped and Richards was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- Police reported a man with a sawed-off shotgun entered the High's dairy store in the 8000 block of Liberty Road in Rockdale last night and announced a holdup. They said that after the gunman ordered two employees to give him the contents of at least one cash register, he ordered each of them to lie on the floor behind the counter. Police said the gunman then fled with an undisclosed sum of cash. They said the gunman was in his early 20s and he was wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans.

Anne Arundel County

ROBBERY: Pasadena -- Police said that two men, one with a handgun, accosted a female employee of the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in the 4100 block of Mountain Road as she emptied the trash and ordered her back inside. There, the bandits ordered two employees and a customer who just walked into the store to lie on the floor. The men then forced the customer and one employee to crawl into the freezer and shut the door. The robbers ordered the other employee into the office, where they forced him to open the safe. After removing an undisclosed sum of cash, the gunman struck the employee in the head with his weapon and forced him into the freezer. After the thieves fled the restaurant, the two employees and customer left the freezer and reported the robbery to police.

Carroll County

THEFT: Mount Airy -- Kenneth W. Hall, of the 4300 block of Oak Lane, reported that someone removed all four tires and wheels from his car while it was parked near his home. Police said the equipment was valued at nearly $300.
