GENOVA'S GETS LICENSE

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Genova's Restaurant in the North Carroll Shopping Plaza in Greenmount may sell beer and wine now, the liquor board has ruled.

Owner Vita Chesney, 28, of Hampstead, said she has plans to move the restaurant in late May or early June to a larger space in the shopping center, doubling the restaurant's size.

Chesney has until early July to obtain a liquor license, the liquor board's written decision states. The license does not allow Sundaysales.

Chesney has owned the restaurant since October. Her father, Salvatore Marciano, owned the business from 1979 to 1987.
