Spring rockfish season gets OK

ANNAPOLIS -- Maryland Department of Natural Resources Secretary Torrey Brown announced yesterday that the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission has approved Maryland's proposed spring striped-bass season. The Administrative, Executive, Legislative Review Committee of Maryland's General Assembly had approved the season.

One rockfish, a minimum of 36 inches, per person will be allowed from May 11-27 in the Chesapeake Bay below the Bay Bridge.
