SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- Pandora Lane, of the 2400 block of N. Calvert St., reported she was sitting on the passenger side of a car parked in the 4700 block of Park Heights Ave. early yesterday when someone shot her in the chin. Police said the bullet that struck Lane was fired from outside the vehicle and that it was not immediately known if Lane was the intended target or the bullet was meant for someone else. Police said Lane was taken to Sinai Hospital.
BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Employees of Stormin Norm's Tire & Auto Service Center in the 5300 block of Reisterstown Road reported that someone broke into the building through a side door early yesterday and removed two tires and two telephones, all valued at $600.
ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police reported that an employee of the Autolite glass company in the 4000 block of W. Northern Parkway was getting out of his car in the 6600 block of Reisterstown Road around 10:30 a.m. yesterday when he was accosted by a man with a handgun who stole a bag containing more than $400 in cash.
BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 2600 block of W. Cold Spring Lane reported that someone broke into her home through a window between 3 p.m. and midnight yesterday and removed a 20-inch TV and a microwave oven, valued at nearly $260.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1200 block of Argonne Drive reported that someone broke into her garage and removed two 20-inch bikes, with a total value of nearly $100.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Randall Davis, of the 1200 block of Meridene Drive, reported that someone entered the front yard of his home and removed property valued at nearly $500.
THEFT/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police yesterday arrested a man who attempted to leave the K mart store in the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane without paying for property valued at nearly $40. Police said the man was being held at the Eastern District pending formal theft charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Darryl Evans, of the 2400 block of Westwood Ave., told police that while his car was parked in the 1500 block of Exeter Hall Ave., someone broke into it and took property valued at $300.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone entered a dwelling in the 5500 block of Carter Ave. and removed a TV valued at $300.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 5500 block of Bowleys Lane reported that someone entered his home while he was away and removed $300 in cash.
THEFT: Northern District -- Police said a man entered the 7-Eleven store in the 400 block of E. 33rd St. Wednesday evening and stole 100 packs of various sizes and shades of pantyhose from display shelves. Police said the property was valued at $200.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police were seeking the person who broke a window to get into a house in the first block of York Court and removed a 13-inch TV and a VCR, all valued at $800.
ARSON: Northeastern District -- Police reported that the tenant of an apartment in the 2800 block of Clifton Park Terrace was admitted to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation after he set fire to his apartment Wednesday night. They said the 31-year-old man was not injured and that the fire was confined to a small area of the dwelling.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Employees of Crosstown Discount Liquors in the 3200 block of Belair Road reported that someone entered the back yard of the building and removed 10 empty stainless steel beer kegs, valued at $100.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone forced the door of a garage in the 2500 block of Aisquith St. and removed tools and equipment used for commercial painting, all valued at nearly $1,900.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police reported that a motorist filled the tank of his car with $13 worth of gas at the Amoco service station in the 5600 block of Harford Road and drove away without paying.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Mary Kharim, of the 1500 block of Fernley Road, reported that someone entered the front porch of her home yesterday and removed two pieces of wrought iron furniture. Police said the furniture was valued at $1,000.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police arrested a 34-year-old man yesterday and were holding him at the Eastern District pending charges that he attempted to leave the K mart in the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane without paying for cigarettes and a pair of shoes, all valued at more than $130. The man was to appear today at a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.
CHURCH BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Officials of the House of God and Christ For All in the 2600 block of Aisquith St. reported that someone broke into the building through a rear door and stole a calculator, TV, telephone and an answering machine. Police said the value of the property was not immediately known.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that property valued at $300 was removed from a dwelling in the 900 block of E. 36th St. after someone broke the lock to the front door.
BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 1100 block of Woodyear St. reported that someone broke into his home through a basement window and removed stereo and radio equipment valued at $600.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Samuel Smith, of the 5100 block of Arbutus Ave., reported he was in the 700 block of N. Carrollton Ave. when a man he knows struck him with his fist and robbed him of his wallet. Police said the wallet contained no money and that a man was arrested in the incident.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Kevin Williams, of the 6000 block of Moravia Park Drive, reported that a woman he knows entered his home yesterday and removed property valued at more than $200. Police said Williams was expected to have a summons issued requiring the woman's appearance in court to answer a theft charge.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Walter Cromer, of the 1600 block of N. Warwick Ave., reported he was in the 2400 block of Presbury St. when he was accosted by several men, including one who had what appeared to be a 9mm semiautomatic handgun. Cromer told police that he was struck by one man and robbed of more than $30. Police said Cromer was slightly injured but refused medical treatment.

THEFT: Woodlawn District -- Thomas Bergan, the manager of the Ingleside Shell service station in the 900 block of Ingleside Ave., reported that upon returning to his office yesterday afternoon after being away for less than 30 minutes, he discovered that a bag containing money to be deposited in a bank was missing. Bergan told police the bank bag, which he left on top of his desk, contained $14,806. Police said the theft occurred between 3:15 p.m. and 3:40 p.m.
RAPE: Woodlawn District -- Police are seeking two teen-agers in connection with the rape yesterday afternoon of a 16-year-old in the laundry room of an apartment building in the 7300 block of Lasada Drive. While being treated at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center's rape crisis center, the girl told police she was standing outside the building around 5:30 p.m. yesterday talking to a teen-age male when another arrived and joined the #i conversation. The girl told police she went to the laundry room with the two youths and was forced down on the floor by one who threatened her with a handgun. The girl told police that while one of the teen-agers raped her, the other stood guard at the door. After the attack, both youths fled. Police said the girl ran home and told her parents what had happened.
BURGLARY: Woodlawn District -- Police reported that someone kicked in the kitchen door of a dwelling in the 5500 block of Pembroke Ave. and removed two TVs and a VCR, valued at more than $2,000.

ROBBERY: Crofton -- Police said a man with a handgun robbed an unidentified Crofton resident of a small sum of money while the victim was sitting in a car parked outside the automated teller machine at the Maryland National Bank in the Patuxent Shopping Center on Md. 450. Police said that before the gunman fled, he struck the victim on the head with the weapon. Police said the victim was not seriously injured.
Howard County
DRUG ARREST: Columbia -- Police said that after the arrest of a Hyattsville man on drug charges, federal agents were attempting to learn how the man came into possession of an AK-47 assault rifle that was part of a controlled drug buy with an undercover police officer. Police said Christopher Robin Ervin, 22, of the 2000 block of Erie St., was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and trafficking in narcotics while armed. Police said an undercover narcotics officer allegedly purchased about $1,500 in cocaine from Ervin in four separate buys and that last week the officer reportedly met the suspect at a Columbia parking lot and bought a small quantity of cocaine and the rifle. The officer also bought a bayonet and three ammunition clips. During previous drug deals, police said, they also purchased two shotguns and a semiautomatic handgun from Ervin. Police said agents of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms were attempting to determine the source of the weapons and that charges involving the firearms may be placed against Ervin.
Carroll County
ARRESTS: Westminster -- Police have charged two men in connection with a shooting spree with a BB gun that resulted in the shattering of windows of at least 10 homes and cars over the weekend. Police said Stanley Anthony Dobson, 23, and John Andrew Benedict Jr., 23, both of the 1200 block of N. Main St. in Hampstead, were each charged with 10 counts of malicious destruction of property and two counts of reckless endangerment. Police said some of the cars whose rear windows were shot out were moving at the time but that none of the occupants of the vehicles was injured. Police said the men were released from the county Detention Center after posting $5,000 bond each. Police said the damage to the windows was nearly $2,000. They said the arrests came from information provided by a resident of Long Lane who jotted down the license number of a suspicious car moments before he heard the windshield of a car parked near his home shatter. When police learned that the car was registered to Dobson, they went to his home and found the car parked in the driveway. Inside the car, police found several BBs. In Dobson's home, police recovered a BB gun believed to be the one used in the shootings.
BURGLARY: Westminster -- Police today continue their search for the people who broke into a home on East Saw Mill Road and removed a pair of field glasses, a 50-year-old Remington .22-caliber rifle and a 60-year-old Savage 16-gauge shotgun. Police said entry was gained through a living room window and that the property was valued at hundreds of dollars.
BURGLARY: Sykesville -- A resident of the 900 block of Foggy Bottom Drive reported that someone broke into his home yesterday and removed nearly $200.
